I was so excited to see all these guys together! Most of them are about the same age and yet you could feel the respect for Matthew every time he said anything. I have a feeling some of them really looked up to him. On a completely unrelated note.... did anyone else have an overcoming urge to run your fingers through Matthew's hair? He has amazing hair! 😆

@slayerduval1 Жыл бұрын
100%. That one one of the first things I noticed. Also, Armisen caught Adam Scott's keeping the penal/ penal thing going just far enough to make it dumb (on purpose.) It takes a certain type of comedian to be completely comfortable with awkward silences and uncomfortable moments and to keep going with it until it is excruciating. The Office was perfect commitment to the bit. Adam Scott and Fred Armisen do that so well. Joke for joke, I still think Matthew Perry would be the funniest one when the cameras were off. But only Fred Armisen could write the perfect parody of this. (like Tim Heidecker)
@froodoftheforest11 жыл бұрын
I can't say I was overly impressed with the line of questioning to be honest. A lot of 'what's the worst', 'things you want to forget', 'weirdest', 'thing you regret'. Actors have an enviable life in so many ways to the public, but juggling an on screen persona with a private life would be incredibly difficult . Asking a group of talented/fortunate/privileged actors so many negatively geared questions make for a bad interview, only in my opinion of course, but you had so much talent and experience there - as an interviewer you'd think you could lift the mood and get some great stories out of them.

So true. I was completely underwhelmed. I was hoping they would talk some more about their craft, their respective journeys, dig deeper into some questions like the one Matthew responded to about the difference in network tv then and now. Just more insight into aspects about their work and how each one goes about it. I suppose that wasn't the idea here or for this show. Just felt like a waste of an opportunity given the talent that had gathered in the room.

@@khamirbhatia Have you seen anyone from 2017, 2018 to date? I would recommend checking out the one that had Chadwick, Viggo Mortensen (Dont know the spelling right, sorry)., etc. Other ones I really enjoyed were the comedy actors roundtable with don Cheadle, Ricky Gervais, Jordan Peele..etc. Then, the conversation on creativity with Glover, Chazelle, Lin-Miranda Manuel etc. Also, some enjoyable ones include the female comedy actress roundtable with Jane Fonda, Tiffany Haddish and so so. Another one to look into would be The writers roundtable with John Kransinski, Bo Burnham, Paul Schrader etc. There are many enjoyable ones. I think there was one with Will Smith, Samuel L. Jackson and so so. There are a lot of good ones, but I think these are good enough to get you started. There was also a Live one with Margot Robbie, Bryan Cranston and so so. Very good, in my opinion, as well. Please do give me feedback if you don't enjoy or if you do😅
