I’m running the same rig pretty much and really like how well it crawls. It trails nice and does work on the rocks. I have TONS of rigs but have been running the crap out of the element!

Being high on the rock is a good way to become mayor of DC!!! 🤣 You definitely have some leaf blowing to do. lol I can't wait to see Travis and Tarrel again, I miss them. I've been watching a lot of Rick and Morty lately, there is no real life. There are infinite universes and nothing matters. 😂

My Sendero Hd is one of my favorite trucks. I’ve only done free mods to it and it’s been a blast to crawl and trail. Can’t wait to see what you end up doing with this rig as I build my builders kit V2

Did you end up keeping those tires? I think the foam may be a bit stiff, don’t see the tires squeezing down enough on the edges to get more of a bite.
@Js_junkyard Жыл бұрын
I was thinking that esc gets hot because the servo is so weak yet it’s taxing the BEC? I ran mine last weekend with a 14t pinion and the motor heat was very acceptable, yet the esc was just as hot when I went back to the 18t. I’m curious to see a direct power servo in this truck.

Got the standard v3 revolver today an tried it out an WOW!!! The V3 stubnose can definitely hang with it's big brother if they want big boy power in a little package than the stubnose v3 is golden. Both are absolutely amazing motors. Waiting on the MMX V2 to show up to pair with the standard v3. I luv the copperhead10 but it's kinda Big for what I'm doing now lol.

One week short of having a crawlmaster 13t 550 in my scx10.3 on hobbywing 1080wp with a 3s for a year straight. Our typical crawling time is about 4 to 5 hours at a time. Motor will not quit and it’s been under water… muddy water… long under water crosses… just keeps on pushin.

Just ordered my first crawler, an SCX24 gladiator, I noticed the motor is fair low turn, watching your videos I learned higher turns better crawler. Do you recommend a motor that is a fit for the SCX24 Gladiator? Thank you 😊

I bought a gatekeeper and the first trip out with it the esc got so hot it started to smoke, the truck ran away uncontrollably, and the battery wire pulled out of the solder when I tried the disconnect the battery.

I'm running a Crawlmaster pro 13T on my Vanquish Phoenix and it tends to get hot before I run through a single 3s 2200mah battery. Even more so when trail driving than rock crawling. Is this normal?
@JPWirt2 жыл бұрын
This is probably preaching to the choir, but those tires actually work pretty well if you trim the stock foams down to 95mm OD...and even better if you trim off alternating lugs on the inner & outer rows of tread blocks.

@JPWirt2 жыл бұрын
@@sjoerddejonge4080, a procedure similar to this but done on the stock foams to make the OD 95mm. It gives the effect of "airing down" the tire to help it conform to obstacles better. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKO8nH2ubs6WkMk

Push ratio? Never heard that term before regarding crawling, always overdrive. If anything, with crawling you'd have the front turning slightly faster so technically it'd be a pull ratio?
@HolmesHobbies2 жыл бұрын
pull or dig ratio. only MOA competition rigs use push. Imagine you want your rear to walk sideways faster than the front. Give some push ratio and the turning radius will be around the front end instead of the back like normal dig.
@mentula37842 жыл бұрын
@@HolmesHobbies ahh I see, new terminology for me. Dig would be the same as push? Referring to a rear o/d and pull is self explanatory? Do I have that right?

Looks like a fun and good scale crawler. A bit jumpy, but maybe you was jerking the throttle sometimes. I love the cracking sounds the body gives, sound like a big car cracking sound. I only got a superclass 1/8 crawler so I wait some time/years befor looking for a scale crawler. Love the big wheels on my crawler so it can be used for some of my mountain hikes. What battery and running time you get with this setup?
