Loved this, bubbles and all. I was inspired by the bubbles, I think u should come up w a design, that would look cool w random water marble bubbles of all sizes, maybe you could use fizzy seltzer water, as well as shaking bubbles into the polish.....who knows, maybe it'll become a "thing", like 100 coats of polish did, lol!
@MSLP7 жыл бұрын
it did kind of remind me of the "water spotted" technique - I've only done a couple of vids with that, you spray something alcohol-based (like hand sanitizer or perfume) into the water and it will pop up bubbles

They're 10 dollars a piece at Live Love Polish but I got a six bottle set at Amazon for 40 dollars. Always check Amazon for deals.

Jill Simmons I hear us. The only problem with Amazon is that kind of price usually doesn't come with Amazon prime. Meaning that it will take 4ever for the shipping.

Chrissie Pie I have ordered 5 sets from Amazon (3 recently) and none of them have taken longer than 1 1/2 - 2 weeks. Most have arrived in 4-5 business days.

I apologize if you mentioned this in yesterday's video but have you tried substituting the clear for holo polishes in the order and colours of a gradient? E.g. silver, light blue, med blue then dark blue in between rings of white? I think that would give an interesting gradient shape! Btw, tganks for your videos, they're always inspiring even though I rarely find the motivation to attempt water marbling myself haha
@MSLP7 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried it with holo, but I know what you mean - I think it would create a really pretty look! definitely on my long list of things to try
@jennw68097 жыл бұрын
Gorgeous. I wonder if the bubbles have something to do with using topcoat rather than clear polish? But the bubbles appeared in the white, I know, but sometimes polish interactions can happen. Do you usually use clear polish rather than topcoat?
@MSLP7 жыл бұрын
sometimes yes, but I think it was mainly the white because I used the same top coat with the black and didn't have any trouble
@jennw68097 жыл бұрын
Who can explain weird polish interactions? Just did my first watermarble last night, went well after watching so many of your videos. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
@rnttreed7 жыл бұрын
It's very pretty. The only thing I would have changed is the application. I don't have a lot of money and that polish isn't cheap. With 15 drops per nail is too much for me. I would have made out the rings with 15 drops but instead I would have made the same chevron design maybe 3 or 4 times instead of 1. Let the paint dry inside of the cup for a good while. Remove the large decal from the cup with tweezers and cut out what I need. Then place the pieces on my clear stamper one at a time and stamp directly on a tacky layer nail. You can just place them on with tweezers but I find it to be less of a headache and much faster to just use my clear semi sticky stamper for placement. It would cost less to make decals with your water marble.Depending on your nail size it's 3-4 nails for the price of one. 😊
@rnttreed7 жыл бұрын
Also no expensive simply peel or clean up needed. Well for the water marble part anyway. I love your videos and with that music makes it even more memorizing. I get lost in your work if that doesn't sound too creepy lol. Anyway, I know posting these videos isn't easy. It's messy, it's time consuming, camera gear, lightings, work spaces, ideas, a lot of video editing, and very costly. Thank you for your videos Coleen. I'll stay tuned for the next one 👍.
@BrittMFH7 жыл бұрын
rnttreed I do agree with you on this one for a full mani as it's a lot of time and expense involved. Maybe a couple accent nails done the way done in the video.
@MSLP7 жыл бұрын
Doing them as decals is definitely an option. Decals are still a technique that I can get really frustrated with though, so I've only done it with marble once, and that was with my miracle mat rather than out of the cup

I've used a handful, they're always included in the product list in the information box for each vid. You don't want anything fast drying, beyond that it's mostly trial and error
