Thank you so much for this video! It's the most thorough video I've seen thus far. I did a practice nail a couple of weeks ago and a few spots at the tip wouldn't take the holo powder. Thanks to you I now know that I must have missed the top coat on those areas. I was also gung-ho with a black basecoat until your video! thanks so much for sharing with us!

I LOVE this Collette! They are so beautiful :) Of course, I have to see in person (will have to buy some holo powder), but I think, I like better than the mirror/chrome. And, I have to pick up that Zoya color... wow! So gorgeous, I would definitely wear alone. I'm always surprised that you don't have a problem using gel, as thick as you seem to do. Whenever I use, just a bit too thick, I get the shrink-wrap affect, and have to do it over.

Is it still required to use gel with these pigments (holo & chrome)?? RonneeSue Scott Orly binder base works on top of regular polish, then a layer of water based top coat or a peel off base coat which needs to be really dry before a normal top coat can be put over the top! works with chrome and Holo powders

I'm soooo in Love with these effects! I checked the sites that carried the products you listed, and was bummed the site that carried the silicone brush/tool didn't exist any longer. I've read you can use your finger to apply the powder. Have you done this with good results?

I haven't used my finger (too hard to get in the tiny pot with my nails) I usually use either sponge tip applicator, or a small piece of makeup sponge

Wow great wear on them. Do you use a regular BC under the UNT? And I am sure you use lotions and oils between manis? That mani you just took off is or was just awesome. :) This holo just looks amazing! TFS!
@MSLP
@MSLP 7 жыл бұрын
I don't use any other base coat with the UNT - and yes I still use lotion & cuticle oil. Those don't seem to have a negative effect, although long exposure to water or oil (like with washing or styling my hair) will often lead to some lost polish
@tookierl

ok so I bought some of this halo - or so I thought it was 👎 what is the trick to this stuff ?? It doesn’t work but it nay be due to buying from wish?? I’ve watched so many of these videos and drooling over how beautiful it is Do you have to apply gel polish with it ? TIA
@MSLP
@MSLP 5 жыл бұрын
pigments works best with a no wipe gel but it is possible to use them with normal polish. There are different levels of quality; I've never shopped from Wish but I know they are pretty cheap so it may just be bad quality ... or may not actually be pigment at all but just very very fine glitter which won't apply the same way
