Hi Tom I have also interviewed Mayer in 1998 he inspired me when I was completing my degree. I interviewed him for 5 hours he met me at Piccadilly station in Manchester. He bought me a box of chocolates, I'll never forget him and he still had a sense of humour, even after all that he had been through. He wrote to me I still have his letters and tapes he was such an inspirational man I'll never forget him. I've also wrote a play Called Left for Death and right for life which had fantastic reviews. Well done on your fabulous work. Soon there will be no more primary source information so it is essential to keep their voices alive. if you need any more info let me know Jill Malloy-Brown
