Very cool looking! Those POV displays have always fascinated me, even the simple “wiper” types that swing back and forth to display the date and time. There’s just something so magical about having this virtual image floating there. Have to wonder what the largest one ever made is like, I would assume eventually you’d hit limits in materials and stability with a really large, heavier one, and since you get a better image the faster it goes you would likely end up with tip speeds that were crazy.

This is the best quality footage of one of these I have seen vs real life! you can also get 4 bladed ones, where the LED pixels on blades 1 and 3 are slightly misaligned to pixels on blade 2 and 4. Incidentally, the 4 blade versions not only have higher effective resolution and framerate, but they also support wifi and have 'app control', so presumably you can change the animations on the fly and support more features overall, like streaming a video. The page for one of them doesn't even mention .GIF in the supported list, though presumably it would support it. Based on one of the pictures in the description, it seems you might be able to link multiple quad-fans together to produce one larger image?
