Malo! The Microcosm can take a stereo input. You need the correct cable, the little book that comes with it has all the info. You will find that you need to set it to stereo via a menu as well. It sounds amazing in stereo. Also give it midi input via the MPC too, everything will be in sync and gives the microcosm sonic coherence that it needs(otherwise it can be too wishy washy).

Thank you so so much for this update, I’m so glad you mentioned this. Ima pin this. I’ll be doing a lot mor videos on this Microcosm and I’ll be sure to explore this. Again, thank you so much for mentioning this 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Thanks for making this, Malo! Sounds amazing ✨ It's true - you can run stereo signals into Microcosm! You need one of those dual 1/4" TS to 1/4" TRS cable (aka Insert Cable) and then you just make a super quick config change in the global settings. Definitely opens things up even more when you run stereo signals into it, as well as clock it to your gear's tempo via MIDI! As long as whatever device you're using is sending MIDI clock, Microcosm will sync to it without any additional steps

@@HologramElectronics hey Hologram and Mali Beats received mine today. I hooked up my microcosm through a radial extc stereo reamper to my Tascam 12. Using an elektron model I was able to connect dual 1/4 inch cables into the Tascam model 12 stereo channels 9+10, then take the Tascam model 12 main xlr L+R out into the radial extc stereo guitar effect> and then via the headphone out of the elektron cycles I used a trs cable into the microcosm and used another dual 1/4 inch cable from the microcosm into the radial extc stereo reamper and then from the radial reamper used L+R xlrs into channel 1 and 2. I don’t know if I’ve done it correct but i can confirm that I’ve got a stereo image and able to pan hard left and right from channel 1 + 2 and can still record the dry signal of the elektron 🎉channels 9/10. Haven’t explore the midi stuff yet that’s tomorrow’s job. This probably makes no sense - apologies - in Australia and it’s almost midnight

I like to run a sample into the looper, then shift+time knob and slow it waaay down. Then resample the result and use it as a pad instrument on the MPC. Then play it back through the microcosm and explore more effects.

You have no idea how happy I am that you took the time to share this with me. I have not explored much with the looper, but I definitely want to look into it especially after what you shared here. Is this so much for this 🤜🏽🤛🏽

There is a stereo input. You just have to make sure the global configuration is set to stereo.

Firstly, I love your videos. I own the MPC X and the microcosm. I love what the microcosm does on the fly, but I have no idea how to get the MPC to record what the microcosm does to the track I have it applied to. I guess my question is how do I record the microcosm’s output into the actual MPC? I’m not familiar with resampling but my gut says it has something to do with that. I’d happily pay you for a quick tutorial via Zoom or Google Meet if interested.
@christophschumacher6407 ай бұрын
Hi , I have no microcosm but I think you can resample it with the mpc sampler , looper or as a audio track . 🙂

@malobeats2 жыл бұрын
Man, so many people have mentioned a small mixer for the set up, which I could already imagine how good it will be. I just have such a small corner space that I do not want to pile up too much gear, other than guitar pedals. However, I did purchase a four channel input and output, interface that I’m going to be connecting with this set up very soon, which will be more than enough for me to route signal and and out. Once I move out, hopefully I have my own dedicated studio space where I can really start bringing in some gear.
