kind of sad that we will never see colour pulse in game ever again. that's what i love about my callie and marie amiibo's! i can actually re-watch them plus more songs! i also think that in the finalfest that callie and marie should of been in the hub. regardless of story completion. they did play a part in final fest with now or never! idk here's me ranting about stupid ideas lol. @@ciciteevee It’s been a bit toned down and censored for Western audiences, but they’ve been lightening up on that recently. IIRC on the previous Japanese website for Splatoon character listings Marina was listed as “lovesick maiden” (I am paraphrasing a Rassicas translation, you should go to the Rassicas video on the subject for more). Members of the Splatoon team wrote a supposedly non canon Japan-only comic in which Marina writes Pearl a love letter. Not canon atp but I believe it has been referenced in canon multiple times. There’s also the line in Side Order where Marina scolds Pearl for “flirting with Acht” in front of her of all people… which… I think that’s pretty explicit about their relationship status. There’s probably more, this is just off the top of my head. Shoutout to Rassicas btw I recommend their channel a lot, if you ever go on Inkipedia, a good bulk of the translations of Japanese-only media is sourced directly from them.
