Yo! You're really quick today huh? XD It is confirmed! The Ayame VS Fubuki and Mio fight was part of the series "HoloEarth Chronicles". It is a book sold in 2019 and explains some more detailed stuff like where Ayame, Mio and Fubuki lives, how they fight, why they are fighting, etc. And did you know? Ayame's 2 Katanas have their own names. The black long-blade is called Rakshasa, 「羅刹らせつ」"Youtou Rasetsu" literally: Cursed Sword Rasetsu, and the red short-sword Asura, 「阿修羅あすら」"Kijintou Asura" literally: Demon Sword Asura". Both have mystical properties to them, Asura being Ayame's main weapon of choice while Rakshasa as her more powerful second sword.

Finally someone who knows HoloEarth Chronicles. Good thing youre as deep as me. But lets go deeper wwwww Edit: For those who doesnt know what HoloEarth Chronicles, it was sold on Comiket 97, December 31st 2019 by Hololive. Just additional information, it looks like Mio is like a monk who fights with his bare hands and feet with flames spewing out from them while Fubuki sword has an Ice element which is mostly used for party tricks but can use it as a weapon as well. Its like a book full of illustrations and some stories that is somehow connected to this HoloAlt (example was the sword and the canon fight between FubuMio vs Ayame). So I guess they were already planning this thing longer than we think since Holo Chrons., stories are connected here in Holo Alt. Sad thing is, you cant find Holo Chrons. online. It was only sold in the event in 2019 and no one tried to post it online so you cant find it here in the internet no matter how hard you search.(Well atleast for me but please if someone knows where to find a complete HoloEarth Chronicles online let me know. Thanks~!)

I haven't read all of it because the copy is not actually mine. The owner of the volume said that she doesn't want to upload it online as she doesn't want any unwanted attention and that is respectable.

Fun fact: Inu(dog/wolf) and Kitsune(Fox) "statues" are usually seen on the Japanese Shrines & Temples, symbolizes for protecting those said places from demons or yokais "supernatural beings" like an Oni which is Ayame presuming she is attacking the shrine which Mio and Fubuki protects. Near beginning there's a silhouette group shot with 19 girls that match up with the ones in the PV, so that's probably the crew. Missing members include Suisei AZKi Mel Aki Haato Subaru Watame Towa Luna, full 5th gen and ID and EN branches. From such large group it's understandable that not everyone would want to participate or fit in the project.

I'm just gonna post my comment from the Hololive subreddit earlier slightly edited here: Hololive Alternative is a multimedia project. If I remember correct it's gonna include MVs, manga on Twitter (don't know if that's still happening) and they are also currently looking for different people that could help them make things like games & apps (They are looking for people for 3DCG backgrounds to realize the Hololive Alternative world in 3D, also UI/UX designers for Hololive-related apps and Android, iOS & Unity engineers.)

If more characters get added into the Alternative universe, I would say Marine would be paired up with Gura and Ina in "pirate world", and Mel, Ollie and maybe Calli is in the "Mansion world" with Rushia. There are a few ideas I can think of, like Risu and Akai Haato in "School Life world with Okayu, Korone and Matsuri, but not everyone fits perfectly into the current worlds of Alternative we know now.

"HoloEarth Chronicles" seems confirmed. About HoloAlt itself: inside this multimedia project portraing characters in "Alternative Universe" its seems to potentially have alternative timelines or worlds aka Metaverse, seeing all the differences between locations (which are somehow still connected despite how different they). Plus Yagoo (and Cover) already posted recruitment people (who work with Unity, 3D\3D animation\3DCG, VR, UI/UX designers for mobile, etc) for a Metaverse project (that seems like a Game or VR Game Space) for Hololive Alternative on Twitter. In the beginning and phone scene there is someone named 'Mithra' (Isekai God?) asking "If we ever wanted go to a different worlds apart" too. Mithra is the Zoroastrian angelic Divinity (yazata) of covenant, light, and oath. In addition to being the divinity of contracts, Mithra is also a judicial figure, an all-seeing protector of Truth, and the guardian of cattle, the harvest, and of the Waters. Ayame's "Stand" - there is a few speculations: 1) Manifestation of two of her living small ghost "Wisps". 2) Some kind of manifestation of both of her named mystical Katana's: Eternally Cursed black long-bladed "Rakshasa\Rasetsu" and red bladed dachi 'Kijinto', 'Demonic Sword' - "Asura" (Rakshasa and Asura also ironically are the Hindu beings) - Ayame's main blade. It seems was mentioned in "HoloEarth Chronicles" 2019 official book with this canon fight as well. Ayame "Stand" is also reminded me like Fate LB Musashi "Rikudou Gorin - Kurikara Tenshou" Noble Phantasm. She's like a mix between Tomoe and Musasshi by design here, i think lol. Mio is like Fire element Wolf Monk and Fubuki is Ice element Fox Katana user, huh. Kanata falling down and being unconscious seems like a reference to her Deep Sleep habits ww. Also as one of comments said Kanata wakes up after falling (from heaven), finds herself surrounded by beautiful girls with huge boing boings and then passes out, thinking she's gone back to heaven. On more serious note it could be that Kanatan was dropped from the heavens and became Fallen Angel. She also cry's when falling. The Nousagis in the PV sooo we did it lol. Also Death-sensei statue around Casino. Marine 1 manga project sadly didnt happen cus the Mangaka didnt find same ground creatively with Hololive, so new manga probs be later. Hoping for more of these HoloAlt teasers and PV tho!

Honestly, the more I watch it...my theory is that it's all symbolism. Sora seems to be the one calling them from their respective worlds to her's. And I feel like it's symbolism for how Sora, who is basically the leader of Hololive, called all the other girls, to join her in her world, in Hololive. However, this could lead into a story of it's own. They had stated that this project would also be leading into video games, so imagine a Hololive Open World RPG or a Fighting Game, with the lore of it being that all the girls were summoned from their worlds by Sora. And then there's that quote "Have you ever wanted to visit a place that's a world apart?" Also, in the video you see Coco fighting Noel, Flare and Shion, yet later on in the video at the end you see them all together, not fighting. The ending flashes are the aftermaths of the fights it seems like. Same with Ayame, Fubuki and Mio, who are seen at the end drinking together as friends and not fighting. I think things may happen in the lore/story that forces them to fight each other, regardless of if they want to or not. Interesting note, there are some girls who were not in the trailer and i'm wondering why. Suisei for one. As she is part of Hololive Gen 0 along with Sora, Roboco and Miko. I wonder if there is any hidden meaning behind that. It also seems this only includes Gens 0 --> 3, with only Coco and Kanata from Gen 4. Which is very odd.

Seeing Ayames killed me as you can imagine but what killed me the most and almost Brought me to tears was seeing Rushia on screen. I wouldn’t call myself a fandead but Rushi-chan still has a special place in my heart. !Edit! I have done some further research! (Regarding FubuMio vs Ayame) people may have already said this in the comments but, FBK seems to be fighting with a single Katana, which by the looks of things has a few Ice style elements implemented into it, that looks like it will be a lot of fun to see in action. Mio is just all claws and kicks as well, it sounds like she is able to cover her claws and feet in fire, which seems really cool, so that will be something to watch out for. As for Ayame, she fights with two special Dachi’s. The one with the back handle is call “Rakshasa” or in Japanese “Rasetsu” with is classified as a “youtou” which translates to “Cursed Demon Sword”. Rakshasa is a sword that has been eternally cursed (with what idk) and it is surrounded by a faint dark mist. Her other sword is a red bladed dachi called “Asura” (same pronunciation in Japanese) which has been classified as a “Kijinto” (鬼人刀) which would mean “A Demon’s Sword” but as far as we know it’s just a sword that is really strong with fire aspect to it. As for the Stand thing she gained during the fight, nothing in Ayame’s general lore hints as to what it might be so for now it’s just speculation. For the way it was summoned it looked as if two spirits flew out form behind her and combined to make it, I highly suspect that they are the two Wisps that follow her around, both her swords are inhabited by two demons which is how they got their names, Rakshasa is inhabited by a demon named “Karma” and Asura is inhabited by a demon named “Shiranui”. Both of these demons can leave the swords in wisp form but are bound to the swords so they have to stay within a small radius around the sword. So it would seem that they are able to leave their sword form this “Stand” which would be under Ayame’s control. (Yes they are Wisps not Souls, there is a differents, souls aren’t alive nor do they resemble flames, Wisps are small ghosts they are alive and resemble flames, she her official art for visuals). Someone in the Nakiri discord kinda predicted this but he said “I’m thinking that FBK and Mio with have to defeat Ayame in order to befriend her” and by the way things turned out as towards the end of the teaser Ayame, FBK and Mio were all together sharing a meal, he might be on to something. Well that’s as much as I have to say about this in terms of speculation. As the Resident Nakirigumi I thought I would drop my knowledge of Ayame’s lore so y’all can have some fun with that. RUSHI-CHAN MECCHA KAWAII!!!!!!

Btw from the source i know. This was a concept for a game in the making something like Genshin Impact but with hololive and their each lore. The phone scene is like isekai god named Mithra that asking "us" if we want/ever go to different world aparts. And also this was the version where HoloMyth and HoloID and other HoloJp wasnt created

The Hololive Alternative website mentions twitter comics 'coming soon' and also calls for content creators that want to join the project to contact them. So I'm assuming Alternative is going to be a collaborative comic. I'm expecting it'll kind of be like Hologra, where each comic is a stand alone story. Since they're asking for content creators, it might even be a situation where Cover sort of uses the community to create content. For example, Person A submits a story idea to Cover, Cover then edits the story as they see fit, then they find artists to draw the comic. If that's what this is then that's going to be a pretty cool project, though probably a lot less exciting than more people are expecting.

At first I thought that it was kind of weird that Sora is featured so prominently while also being separate from everyone else in this. All the other characters are doing things, but Sora is just standing there on her own. Then I thought that maybe, if this is a game, that you'd be playing as Sora. If this is a game, I think I'd prefer having Sora as the MC to having a nameless self-insert isekai protagonist, so maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part. I know that a self-insert would probably be really popular (you get to interact with the Hololive girls!) but I think that it'd actually detract from the atmosphere. I'd rather have a predefined MC of some sort, and Sora seems like a good fit.

I kind of dissapointed that not all gen 0th to 4th appeared. 0th: Sora, Miko and Roboco 1st: Matsuri (Yes she is the only one, I count Fubuki as Gamer) 2nd: All except for Subaru (My poor little sweatheart duck 😭) Gamer: All 3th: All 4th: Coco, and Kanata But you know what they did a great job on the animation. I know animation is hard, so I get that. It looks soo god damn beautiful. Especially those 2 fights.
