Also, this is actually a good signal for Hololive in my mind. Back when Aqua first wanted to graduate for example, Hololive probably couldn't have afforded that loss. Now, not only was Aqua able to graduate with less of an issue but they're now experimenting with certain livers going to freelance. That's a sign that Hololive is in a more comfortable place than it was even a few months ago.

She probably only will participate in large events and certain merchandises. Especially related to Myth. Her daily activities like streaming is gone. For her, she becomes a true contractor. While the business still retains the IP and being productive than ceasing activities.

Hope this direction pave the way in the future of agency vitubing to be less strick if they want to appeal internationally they need to brake that "idol culture". If this played well, it's a win win situation. The talents can still appear from time to time, the merch can still continue and probably have royalties specially when they're trying a collector heavy items like the card game and the community is happy. This industry needs to be less corporate to remain relevant.

They don’t need to break the idol culture. That’s why it got big in the first place and why most of the talents are there Here’s a thing about the companies, if you want to come back, unless you got terminated, they will likely let you. I’d argue that Cover being corpo is what has made it relevant. Otherwise you get a lot of other companies and indies and they are terrible. Internally we have our own idols as well, they go through the same stuff. We never care.

It's bittersweet but if Ame still continues to pop in from time to time and gets to do what she actually wants to do, this is a better way to do graduation. Especially if this means she ends up doing BTS work, that's going to benefit a lot more vtubers, possibly even outside of Hololive. In today's age, 4 years is a long time to do a job. Hell, even when loyalty was a thing, 4 years in a single position was a rare thing.

I dont follow her IRL account, but Calli did mentioned that she will probably be last one in Mith to be leaving. Especially now after seeing that she gets to collab with Anime studios for end credits songs and big music studios as Mori Calliope, Hololive is helping her a lot to achieve her dreams.

Gura, Calli at least both have so much tied up in their IP that I see them lasting long after the others, even Council and Advent.

In the beginning I always expected Cali and Kiara to be the first ones to go and Ame and Gura the last but now it's complete opposite. I expect Gura to go next, possibly by next year, she just doesn't stream much anymore and her heart doesn't seem entirely in it when she does and this is long before Ame could possibly have revealed to them that they she was leaving. Ina, I don't know but I would not be surprised if Cali and Kiara stay long enough to celebrate 10 years but I think 7 years at the least is possible.

@@johnguy2428Gura has a lot of stuff tied up in her IP. What you are missing is that being a VTuber for Cover was never just about streaming. And you can tell Gura likes all the other stuff she does. Unlike Ame she was also into it for years beforehand. The reason Gura does not streams as much is because everything else in Holo burns her out along with not having anything she wants to stream a lot of the time. You can tell when she is into it or not. Which is why this is happening with Ame. It’s clear she wants to do more of her own stuff but is ok coming back for big events or collabs if they want.

Calli's record contract is tied to her Mori Calliope persona, so I don't expect her to leave anytime soon, especially since she doesn't seem to be bothered by the homework they have to do and she can make her music pretty much without additional restrictions by Hololive and even has more opportunities because of those ties to Holo. With Gura... I think her health problems are the main factor why she's not as active. If she was going to back to the indie life, she would have to start streaming regularly again to earn enough money, which certainly wouldn't be easier than her life is now. She also seems to embrace the idol stuff more than Ame. I don't have the feeling that she feels restricted by Holo, so I guess she'll stay for now, unless her health problems lead her to the conclusion that she couldn't do it anymore.

Interesting how Gura goes on hiatus two days before Amelia's announcement due to 'health reasons'. Seems pretty clear that Hololive is trying to shield Gura from the fallout while letting the other girls run interference until the smoke clears. Considering Kiara's reaction (i.e. full on emotional break down) I wonder if this was really the right decision. That being said, Ame is the least consequential member of Myth. They will be fine, and maybe even better, without her - provided that Gura can come to terms with this and not jump ship as well.
