@@rainzerdesu You can yell, scream, break a window, use your phone, etc. Generally a kidnapper doesn't want to cause a scene as it can get other people to step in, or make them memorable and easier for the police to track down. If you fall asleep they can take you somewhere deserted where you're more vulnerable.

Yelling and screaming ain't going to do a damned thing because you seem to believe that a lot of sound escapes from a car and that the kidnapper is going to just drive you by big crowds in a slow parade procession. Just two months ago, a woman in Arizona was kidnapped by a fake Uber and your "using the phone" idea doesn't help because you'd need to know where you're headed and that the kidnapper isn't going to threaten you with violence for using your phone. This suggestion is like "why don't hostages just use the phone lol". She was only rescued because the kidnapper was dumb enough to let her sit alone in the car at a gas station so she could slip a note to another customer.
