a good reminder for everyone who is diving into their first thermals with this collection ‼: thermals have a relatively short shelf life, so make sure you definitely like the cold state color as that will be what it defaults to once the thermal pigment "expires" ✨ also i'm so glad thermals are coming back!! i remember having thermal nail polish when i was little but it's been hard finding good ones. hopefully this means more thermals (and solar activated thermals!) come back more!

I'm assuming UV changing nail polish are like these too? I have a brand of nail polish where it's transparent and colored by UV/sunlight. The red still works but the black doesn't change colors anymore

These colours are just wonderful. I havent tried thermals before as I was worried having short nails would make it not worth it - but other painters comvinced me it's still fun, and just in time for this release so I took the plunge! I love that they're fun, bright colours, and honestly I also kind of love that they wont last forever so I'm encouraged to use them not save them "just in case".

Supposedly the thermals shelf life is like 6 to 18 months and apparently they smell funky bc of the thermal pigment or something like that ( I've been doing research bc I've never really heard of thermal nails before)

@@Nightbat1321 I have thermals that are a couple years old and they still work. Proper storage (cool, dark place instead of somewhere that sunlight will hit them) helps. And I haven't noticed any weird smells. The thermals I have are from several different brands and not one of them smells any worse than normal polish smells, haha.

So, when thermals expire, what color is the polish "stuck" as? Is it the cold state color, the warm state color, or some entirely different color?

I'm not sure on the science, but I've seen all of the options. Some locked to warm, some cold, and one of my thermals expired into a color that was neither (was white to green, expired to yellow). But I wouldn't worry too much as I've got thermals from 2021 still transitioning strong.

From the product listing for all of these polishes: Colour-changing effect may diminish over time due to the nature of thermal pigments. For best results, enjoy the polish within 6 to 12 months. Exact colour may vary with temperature, storage and age. Store in a cool, dark place for optimal consistency and shelf life. She also expanded on the stream that what's going to speed up the process of them slowing or stopping changing most is lots of changing itself. So if you store them in a room that gets say, very hot in the day but very cool at night or vice versa, that would be worst, because they'd be changing a lot. Also of course things like not dipping the bottle in water to show off the effect in bottle etc.

I'm having a problem with your loyalty program. Tell me how I've spent over $400 with you yet I don't even have enough points for brushes. Maybe give me my points and don't expire them. I'm actually extremely angry and it really makes me feel like you don't value the time I put in to make that money to buy your product. $85 is about 5 hours of my life at my job, and I make more money than most of your other customers. If you're going to do a loyalty program, then be loyal back to me. I'm so angry, I don't want to purchase again.

I’m so sad. I was really looking forward to this collection. Not a fan of the price point as well as the finishes. If the each had different finishes that weren’t so dainty I would appreciate it much more. I miss some of those unique releases from HT as well as the unique shaped boxes during the anniversary at least.

The price point is barely different than her other polishes, and accounts for the extra work with the unique effects. Going for a more expensive box to add onto it would just inflate the price you already dislike, too.
