I have 2 haptics one in seabreeze and one in quill along with a v4 specter and they are among the best knives I've ever felt besides Grimsmo. Great job fabs 🍻👊

You mentioned the Holt knives are in your top 5 for quality and action. What would be your top 5 because I'm looking to buy a knife and I was thinking either a rask or 1 of those 2 Holt models in the video but if you mention something different I may go that route.

Hey fabs, you are just the guy too ask. I am looking for a new knife. It needs to be no longer than 200mm overall and as drop shutty as possible. I would love the mini goblin but cannot find one. In the meantime I will look at alternatives. My budget is $600-$700 maximum. Any ideas ? 👍👍

In that range you can actually get a shiro on the secondary market. Usually you can find them in excellent condition. But under 20cm you can get Neon and Hation which are less drop shutty than the bigger ones (F95, F3, Hati). Another amazing option is Koenig Arius, but still probably a bit bigger. Another great option in that range can be TBC LEXK 😉

I did not notice whether or not if you mentioned the adjustable detent at least on the Haptic as far as I know for sure!! Maybe the Spectre has adjustable detent as well!! In my opinion it is the adjustable detent that sets the Haptic (as far as I know) a whole step above any other mid tech knife out there on the market today! Any other knife that costs 8 to 9 hundred dollars or more that does not have an adjustable detent I think is definitely lacking! When the user can adjust the detent to their own personal preference then this knife is at a whole different level at that price!! I also understand that the Holts have some type of patent on this detent design. I just hope that they keep on making knives at this level based on this very prized detent patent and utilize this patent to their best advantage! Their newsletter says that Joe Holt is soon going to take on a separate venture apart yet alongside the knife avenue with a partner of some sort. I just hope he does not spend less time making knives when he holds this valuable patent! We will see what the future holds for Holt Bladeworks at some point! Excellent video! Thank you!!!

Hey thanks!! Yes both have the patented adjustable detent, very cool innovation in the knife industry!! They are actually going on a side project, which will likely take away some time to knife making, hope not too much!! They do great knives, and are good people
