I’m only 37 but have been wrenching for almost 20 years. I cannot tell you how accurate this is. Sometimes I correct people sometimes I don’t because I already know I’ll get the,”you’re just a kid what do you know”. Those knipex are amazing. You can tell right away who knows how to use them and who doesn’t just by looking at them. The teeth will be rounded out from it spinning in the jaws.

This is something I learned from my dad a long time ago but for guys who are new to the game, this is a good tip.

In some case if you want to loosen the round stock/ pipe there may not be enough space to go to other side and push down and you may need to orient the pliers the other way and pull up to loosen. Therefore your video can get confusing to beginners - Best practice which we follow in Bharat (India) is to (ALWAYS COMPLETE THE "C") what I mean by that is the top tongue of the plier is like half a "C". so if this part is UP then pushing down ensures rotation in clockwise direction thereby completing the "C" and if the half "C" is at the bottom then to complete the "C" you have to pull UP also implies anti clock wise rotation or loosening the round stock!!! hope that made sense. Once anyone understands completing the "C" then can stand in same position and use the plier as they want to rotate clock wise or anti clock wise. hope it helps
