liked the way you broke the tip off both knives and were like: "ok, moving on" .... :thumbs-up:

Thanks! I fixed both knives a few days later, but learned a lesson that day; only test the tip on soft woods. Thanks for watching!

Would a 1095 steel break like that as well?

I just subscribed and not sure if u have one but checkout the Kershaw camp 10 its my favorite chopper and I like your budget knives that you get more bang for the buck stuff

I've been eyeing them for a while, along with a few of the ka-bar choppers, and a couple of schrades. I'll pick one up at some point, just not sure when. Thanks for watching, and subscribing!

Use of a wedge would have worked for ya when you're batoning something like that. You can always make one out of another piece of wood. I will say that it was a pretty good video of that knife.

Normally I would, but I wanted to test the ability of the knife, and it's toughness. Thanks for watching

When it comes to knives, especially survival/bushcraft knives I am not a fan of D2. I have seen many D2 knives loose their tip. Other than the steel, I like the knife. Personally considering it is supposed to be a survival/bushcraft knife, I think D2 was not the best choice for steel. D2 can hold an edge but it is not a tough steel, for a tough stainless steel I would have picked AEB-L steel.

I feel the same about d2. Holtzman's just released it in 1095, maybe a week ago. I haven't acquired it yet, but hope to at some point. I ground the spine down, and made a new tip on this one. Like new now, just a little shorter. Thanks for watching!
