@TimSzabo Firstly an all powerful God would not require blood sacrifices to atone for sins. He could just Forgive them with his words since God is all powerful and all merciful Secondly sins aren't transferable, Everyone is responsible for their own actions and sins. Thirdly it is agreed upon by scholars that the Gospels were not written by the individuals it is attributed to and even if it was the text has undergone allot of changes either intentionally of due to translations. Forthly it doesn't have to be a lie, people can be wrong about things they believe as the truth. Even if the fact in question was not based on reality. I pray that you find truth aswell

If God is all powerful why couldn't he create a structure for atonement of sins. God doesn't have to fit a human interpretation just because it seems odd. Secondly: Yes I agree everyone is responsible for their own sins, but if we were to pay for them ourselves it would mean death and separation from the Holy God. Like you said God is all merciful so if he decided to allow sacrifices to be made to him thru animals; instead of human bloodshed then why is that wrong? Thirdly: Which scholars do you mean? The bible has been passed down for many generations and can be found accurate through the 5200 Greek manuscripts. Yes I understand what you mean by the Bible being corrupted but where is your evidence of error in it? The bible is translated through a closest word translation which means the core teachings and history is preserved throughout history. And is verifiable by historical evidence of Jesus' life. If you are unsure of the authenticity of the modern translations then I encourage you to learn Hebrew or Greek to carefully understand the earliest translations of the Bible. Forthly: Yes I understand your claim, people die for lies all the time. But what makes the eyewitnesses of Jesus Christ so authentic is that what they believed in was not imaginary or some hallucination. Over 500 different people saw Jesus alive after he had been dead for 3 days. People felt his hands and the wounds still there. So no the chances of Jesus just being a massive illusion in unlikely. I cannot 100% prove to you that Jesus Christ is the messiah. But I can say with high confidence that he is the truth because of the way he lived his life. The teachings he taught people. The blind and possessed that he healed. The way he died and rose again. I'm not asking you to believe in Christ because I told you, I encourage you to dig deeper in the Bible and the Quran to make a conclusion on which is most accurate to who the God of Moses really is and was.

Now I'm listening to Jordan Peterson's discussions about Exodus and understood very little of it. I will listen to this and then go back to Jordan Peterson's discussion.
