I love Bad Cat amps. I own a BadCat HotCat 30R combo I bought second hand a couple years ago. I use a Two Notes Captor X as attenuator and as direct out. Works great and makes the Amp usable at every level.

The "Cut" knob means presence. I think, it`s wired to the power section instead of the preamp section which has 2 knobs EQ.

I own the 1x12 combo version of this. IMO, it sounds better with the Bad Cat treated (undoped) Celestion and in an open back cab vs a closed back V30 cab. It's one of my favorite clean amps.

Bad Cat also makes verry affordable guitars. Don't know how they do it without getting sued, but they look exactly like Gibson guitars.
