For nostalgias sake the upcoming marvel vs capcom collection with that on had me hyped but devastated it isn't coming to xbox so I can't relive that experience sadly. Still haven't found a controller I like for fighting games more than the sega Saturn pad

Awesome to see a nice saturn display again. I was working with games when these came out and there was no rhyme or reason to how many or few copies our shop would recieve, some titles like highway 2000 we would recieve as little as 6 copies, yet would have box loads of discworld. Even kof 95 we had in plentiful supply but nobody wanted it at the time. I still have my saturn collection, although I stupidly gave away my silver saturn plain demos of bomberman die hard arcade etc - we used to get a delivery of silver discs that contained the entire game of new releases every monday theyd come in plain white sleeves and no idea what the game would be sometimes wed give them to a customer 😂😂😂 can you imagine that now lol

The Crow game is terrible. But then most things around that time involving Acclaim in some way were. But even a bad Acclaim game was good compared to what LJN made. The Saturn is a very underrated console. I loved the arcade racing ports, even if they were bad (Daytona USA). It had some really cool games like Panzer Dragoon Saga, Nights Into Dreams (and Christmas Nights), and Burning Rangers. I also really enjoyed Worldwide Soccer '97. I had all those, back in the day. Good times. Hang-On GP '96 was pretty rare back in the day. I imagine it is even rarer now. Great video, Gem, thank you.

I only have a small Saturn collection so it's amazing seeing all of these in one place. I must admit, the rarer/expensive stuff really won't be added to mine because I don't feel like I can drop that much on a game personally. Mind you, I do covet that Christmas Nights - and it reminds me I need to add a 3D pad to my collection.

@@TheGebs24 It's hard to pinpoint one as there was so many awesome games for the Saturn. That said, Guardian Heroes was up there as one of the best though. Me and are kid had so much fun playing through with the different routes you could take through the main story quest and unlocking all the characters so you could play as them in the multiplayer. Happy times, indeed 😊

Sega Saturn is the system that gave me major anxiety over disc rot. It's the only system where a percentage of my well kept discs were clearly starting to degrade (pinholes when held up to light, visible darkening to areas od the data side, etc). I sold off my collection before it became a bigger problem.

I've had a full Saturn collection for many years now, as it's my favourite console of all time. But regardless, It's always great to see a complete collection. Also great to see you pick up Three Dirty Dwarves, which is a Saturn exclusive, as it's something of a hidden gem. Although I did chuckle at your other two purchases, as neither were well reviewed or regarded on release - although I do admire your 'bravery' (lets call it that) for buying blind, based on your gut feelings. I stopped doing that when retro game prices started getting silly. The Saturn has a lot of cross-over with the Playstation, so be aware that many games can be picked up a lot cheaper for the PS1. On a side note - The King of Fighters '95 was the first SNK fighting game I fell in love with, so I have the SEGA Saturn to thank for my obsession with the Neo Geo. LOL Thanks for the video Gebs.

Did you notice game called Swagman there? European version of Swagman was for Sega Saturn and North-American version of Swagman was for PS1. I used to read review of Swagman c. 1998 in game-magazine here in Finland.

Christmas nights was given away by sega via post and also given away at game shops. What I have trouble understanding is why someone would go to such a huge effort to collect a full Saturn set then sell them ? I can only assume a drastic life changing set of circumstances hits someone that makes them sell a complete collection. What else could it be? A couple of plastic tubs would hold all those games with a third for the hardware so storage can't be the problem.

Saturn was a tragedy and deserved more exposure. Imo after PS1 it was the 2nd best system of that era coz of the games. N64 had solid 1st party stuff...but it's library of games I'd wanna play otherwise was anaemic.
