I need help selling a 1982 D penny weighing in at 3.06 g. Idk how or where to get rid of it. I have a VDB wheat penny. I'll have to check the year again but my dad's grandmother put a hole in it sometime in the 20s or 30s so that she could string them together. My dad did the same thing in the 50s. The hole is through the initials of course but you can definitely see them.

Sometimes I can't decipher the letters/numbers bc the coin is so deteriorated. In order to properly estimate its worth, I will clean it with wh.vinegar & salt gently. Never a scratch.

I literally just found a uncirculated “holy grail” at an estate sale. She is a beauty I bought the complete wheat penny book set that was there and who ever it had belonged to did an absolute awesome job at making sure all the coins in the book were uncirculated. It came with both vdb coins in it not to mention the 3 1800s flying eagle cent coins too. If anyone can guide me into the right direction to have someone be able to possibly help me with grading the whole book possibly as a unit if that’s even possible if not atleast guide me into the right direction for any information for best way to sell them I would greatly appreciate it. All coins are for sale for the right price😊

I started collecting coins around 1968 and I had a lot of coins back to the 1800s and I had them all the way through 60s but I had a lot of wheat pennies and I had all three versions of the 1909 and a friend stole the bank bag of coins in 1974 out of my mom's bedroom so there went my retirement

the thing is when u get all of these 'rare' coins where do u sale them at? Coin collection shops are going to try and pawn shop u and if you put them on eBay u get low balled once again. Those prices are from exclusive auction houses like Sotherbys and you only get that type of money if the coin is graded. The 'catch' about your coins getting graded is there is only 2 nationally recognized grading companies in America...NGC and PGSC or something like that and in order to get your gradings u have to mail your coins out to them. Now I don't know about you but, if I have a rare coin that looks like it could be worth tens and possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars, how do I ensure those coin graders aren't going to swap my coin out and send me back a fake or a less worthy coin? It's hard to trust sending someone you don't know very well and personally an item that's potentially worth $20-$50-$100,000. I'm still sitting on a cache of rarities because of this obstacle. Seems to me the best way to ensure you get your monies worth is to just insure them and keep them in a secure, safe spot for future opportunities that may favor you.

I found an 82 copper penny with no mint mark and have the 82 zinc penny with the d stamp and small date for comparison I didn't think there were any 1982 copper pennies with no mint mark meaning it could be from the w or the p mint mark but haven't heard of one with no stamp but it's 3.1 on the scale and definitely copper and good enough shape I'm not sure what to do with it as I'm not professional and would like some advice from anybody in the comment section

easiest way to do it is to make a list of valuable coins and the errors to look for and then pick up each coin one at a time and see if it fits the criteria on the list. as far as I know you can't pay anyone to do this for you though I would be happy to do so if you want to send them to me and pay me for my time. I can do it all on videos so that you know I'm honest about it.
