I wish I never gave up on my church and the people I loved. I regret every decision I made in the past. I want to go back and be forgiven but I feel like that life is too pushed back behind me. This song reminds me of a joy I once lived and now it’s gone. All I can say now is I’m sorry my lord

It's never too late. Your regret is the first step. Confess it to the God and ask for that forgiveness you desire. No matter what you have done or think you have done, God has accepted worse. If you turn back to God, you will find God waiting for you. All of heaven will rejoice! Jesus talked about this very thing. I invite you to read this passage from the Bible: "3 Then Jesus told them this parable: 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent." (Luke 15:3-7)
