Synopsis
From dawn to dusk, a few hours in the life of Monsieur Oscar, a shadowy character who journeys from one life to the next. He is, in turn, captain of industry, assassin, beggar, monster, family man...
He seems to be playing roles, plunging headlong into each part - but where are the cameras?
Monsieur Oscar is alone, accompanied only by Céline, the slender blonde woman behind the wheel of the vast engine that transports him through and around Paris. He's like a conscientious assassin moving from hit to hit.
In pursuit of the beautiful gesture, the mysterious driving force, the women and the ghosts of past lives.

I feel like the director is giving you a gift - not only in not explaining the intricacies, forethought, meanings etc., but in maintaining the film as an unadulterated work of art and in allowing you to view the film as a person with a brain. And yes, he is above it

Denis Lavant is Leos Carax alto-ego version in a extravert and likable version. Carax is shy, he always wanted to be as funny and théâtral as Denis. When Denis is speaking, it is Carax who is speaking.

So.. I have not yet watched the movie.. But so far with with what I imagine, the movie is a visually stunning movie with a loose story, unattached characters, strong and strange music and a lot of strange yet aesthetically amazing situations. A movie about everything and nothing nicely rapped up in one. I am curious how close am I ?

It' s always difficult to explain a movie without being a traitor to the film.So, yes, definitely, Carax is doing a favour to the people who would watch the movie by not explaining why this , why that.Watching the movie for me was kind of being reborn and giving myself a chance to be Alive in a new world developping before my own eyes.What Cinema should be and what Cinema should stay 💎
