I had great success healing AV as holy light specced. (5.7k Lordaeron player) The big healing crits and small AOE will do wonders and make you competitive with resto druids and shamans. Heal and beacon the most aggressive high damage plates and gg. edit: lowered resil and couple haste items are a must tho, at least 400 haste in my opinion

I said that in video that you need to lower resil to be competetive for heals. But if druids and shamans lower their resilience no f*** way you can outheal them 😁. I dont say druid heals are useful, but they do more healing in big groups and its fact. But for pocket healing Holy pala is beast

Its good to watch the timer on Mortal Strike so you can save a divine favor holy shock and flash, you can freedom your warr and tell him to go defense for this healing trick. Its good for your mana too

I’d like to add holy paladin back in WOTLK where actually pretty good at group healing . Especially in big ground 7-15s I’m taking not like 40man groups , but I myself was easily able to heal two groups during a alteric bg , even in RBG I always mained my holy pala and I was always with the group . You just need the ( Glyph of Holy Light )

In 20:08 you used blue judgement on warrior, which in my opinion was wrong- u Play with arms war= he benefits from judgement of light! Every attack of his can heal him. Arena Had just begun= u were full of mana. = No need to apply blue judgement 😊

Could you explain in better or greater detail what taking "Blessed Hands" does with Divine Sacrifice? Does Divine Sacrifice replace Hand of Sacrifice? If so, that is not listed on the tooltip. Im not sure what i said in the video, but probably i meant that Blassed Hands increases Hand of sacriface not Divine Sac. i probably said it by accident. No, Divine and Hand of sacriface are 2 different spells

What he meant is that if you use talent points for blessed hands, you won’t have enough in the protection tree to get divine sacrifice. A.k.a. “Replacing it”

you go with warrior or DK. But if you have to choose, choose warrior. DKS are usually better against double dps comps. But warrior is almost always better against any other healer/dps comp. Overall warrior is better since it gains more against healer/dps comps than it loses against double dps comps compared to a DK.

I find different information regarding PVE and PVP gear in arena as holy paladin. Do I have to be a high end raider to perform well in arenas as a holy paladin in WOTLK? Originally I just wanted to put raiding to the side and chill pvp the whole expansion, but now it seems like I have to be a raider anyway... bums me out a bit.

If you are pve as any healer i dont see way of hiting any rating, you will be deleted in no time. Only good thing about pala is divine shield which can save you but Priests and Warriors can dispell it so i dont really advice you to expect something huge with pve set

Im not sure if you understand how pvp works but i as i see you are new and its alright. You have "BIS" list for each class and spec. Some specs works better with full PvP gear like destro warlock in arena, some(majority) mix from full main PvP set and some PvE offparts and some are doing also very good with slighly more pve items like rogues(btw in some comps in 3s they need more pvp gear too). But overall, you need to have some experience and know which class benefits from PvE items which not. If u use more pve items your resilience(main pvp stat that reduces dmg income/crit chance on you) will drop and you WONT even have a CHANCE to survive if your income dmg from single spell is 10k(Shamans lava burst,rogues ambush,locks chaos bolt etc..). On other side pve items give you bonus stats like more Haste,Critical,Armor penetration etc..which can be beneficial for Shamans,Rogues,Warriors(off set full pve)..so, holy pala needs some standsrd resilience with full pvp main set,pvp waist and boots and you can add some pve items like rings,neck,bracers.. but you need to keep your resilience on at least 850 in season 6 for example(in season 7 for example 1000,season 8 1200..) but it also depends on comps in arena, if ypu play 2v2 3v3 and more things.. 😆 i hope i clarify some things to you a little bit now 😆

But as you say, some classes/speccs benefit from having pve gear aswell. And it is hard to find information regarding how much pve content i need to do in order to excell in pvp enviourments. I dont WANT to pve. I just want to pvp. And I dont ask if I can get away with pve gear in arenas, but rather the exact opposite. Do I need to do high end pve content in order to be competative in arenas as a holy paladin, yes or no?

Oh then its missunderstanding.. it will have impact later probably on better gear because you wil hit 1400 resilience with full pvp armor which isnt that useful in arena. You will need some side stats, but if your aim is 2k rating for example it is possible without pve gear

Jewlcrafting is BIS for sure. And then for 2nd prof you either go blacksmith for the 2 extra sockets ( most people prefer this). But another option is also engineer for the Gloves rocket... it has very long range so it can help you get into combat rather quickly and avoid saps or help your warrior/dk with burst during HOJ goes. Between blacksmithing and engineer is a matter of choice and noone will tell you that you went wrong with picking either of them. But jewlcrafting is Super BIS, take that. And my personal preference would be blacksmith instead of engineer.

Warmane has cross realm in PvP. So if you choose any of Realms Icc,Blackrock,Lord you will be matched with all PvPers across whole Warmane. The point is that Blackrock is istant 80 with free Relentless gear and you can get free normal offset with just honor, everything above that req rating in arena. If you want to go all way up from the bottom you choose between Icecrown and Lord realms, Lord is pure pain at 1x rate, so its all up to you

easierst class to play in arena, holy paladin lol. just heal and some other little things. disc priest healer is harder , dies faster, can support with dps in arena

Really boring healer for me too, but he doesnt have HoTs or something that can keep your target alive, so you have to cast constantly (and there is a chance to be interrupted).. but yeah priest is cloth and have much more job to do, but he also has shield which is pretty strong...

priest gets a lot worse in ICC patch cus of the ridiculusly OP trinkets that generate insane amount of damage for classes like warriors, dks and even rogues or feral druids. And then there's also shadowmurne. But in earlier seasons, like Nax season and ulduar season, priest can be considered better than holy paladin in arena. Actually i am quite confident that priest IS better for at least 2/4 seasons. Even in TOC patch priest is still strong. it's the ICC patch that priest falls off and holy paladin gains ridiculus ground over him.
