Just some thoughts: 1. Spell reflect can reflect hunter traps (I didn't see it in your video, maybe I've looked wrong) 2. If you take Improved Disciplinse talent 1/3 you won't have that small CD after you used Recklessness / Shield Wall / Retaliation, you can use them simultaneously (but it's can be a waste of talent) 3. From duel examples I saw that you rarely used Revenge spell while it should be your main spell for damage (besides Shield Bash)

6:53 Tactical mastery needed to be 3\3 so you can switch to Battle stance and still have 25 rage to dispel pala\mage invulnerability. Or you can always keep Bloodrage for it (works in duels\arena but not on BGs).

Nobody expects the dmg of prot PVP, really fun spec for duels and i have beaten full wrathful paladins with pve gear.

Yeah i've never tried 100% arp prot but i know its sick...you gotta adjust tactics when playing against them in duels

@@NibbaiWotlk agreed, also against shadow priests, I'd start in battle stance for the 10% arp, when i get to half HP i switch back to defensive. If you get a few lucky crits early you'll put him in execute range before you are even at 50% hp. Nice play still, best pvp wotlk content on YT, keep it up bro.

So basically Charge or intercept when you lose range. To damage him just use revenge, concussion blow, thunder clap, devestate, shield slam, shield bash, and so on... Heroic throw, shield bash to cancel spells, concussion blow, fear to cancel casts? Shield wall an spell reflect to defend. But when to use demoralizing shout, enrage or whatever?

I didnt say in video to avoid Charge/Intercept if you dont need to use it because of DR on stun, which i did very frequently in video(because i used to do it a lot with arms warr). Yes, Revenge is your main DPS ability, also in video i had to use it much more often than i did. Yes, other dps abilities are just spam spam with Heroic Strike over it whenever you can(use glyph if u need). Demoralizing shout should be used whenever you can against Melee targets, why not? What do you mean by Enrage?

@@uioup7453 My advise is to read the description of all of the skills and talents. Focus on duels rather then BGs and Arenas, so you can get used to the keybinds. Initially you are going to loose most of them. Ask your opponents what your mistakes are and for tips on how to counter their class. PvP is situational and you should not follow a specific rotarion.

00:07:15 100% arp doesn't reduced the opponents armor to zero. That's not how arp works. You should use glyph of devestate even when you are at 100%arp.

You can change to battle attitude and put a section to force a hand of freedom to some paladin, the protection warrior not only stays in a defensive attitude.

Solid video with 2 builds variations but I'm confused on these Warmane Prot Guides that run way too low BV (Block Value). I think running less than 2k BV ruins the benefit of the T10 2pc set that increases Shield Slam by 20%. You have around 1k BV as we can see from the small damage returned to the rogue in that duel (also a problem) So the T10 set is pointless if you have low Shield Slam damage because 20% of mediocre damage is still mediocre. At the very least you should run Lavanthor's Talisman trinket for 440 BV for 40 secs which would boost your damage significantly during burst in an ArmPen build. If you have 2k+ BV and an on use BV trinket this will benefit all your talent choices and T10 set better. Since your base Shield Slam will be 2 times as high so the 20% from set then 10% from disarm or other modifiers will increase your damage far more. I guess I just like chunky damage and ending the fight when I get someone in CC instead of letting them get away. Everyone has their own play style though. I guess this is the type of build many go with on private servers but it doesn't make sense to me if you eliminate your burst by having low BV. This creates further problems because now you are relying on staying on target and doing consistent damage since your burst is so low from no BV. Having 2k+ BV then makes you nigh immune to rogues as well since the 205 from damage shield we saw in the video would be 400-500+ which really just hampers the rogues chance to ever win as they kill themselves attacking you.

After looking at some other gear builds (from old vids) I'd say just your STR is too low so your trinkets are fine but perhaps Wyrnn's Legs which has 306 BV would be better. Also the 5% BV Meta gem is likely BiS. I just think you should be hitting 8-12k but seeing you top out at 5.5k. So something feels really off but still enjoy the video and gameplay can't wait for WotLK Classic.

Mouseover ur block ratio. The block value softcap is just for pve. Somewhere around 2760 u gain more threat from str for example. I dont think it even matters for pvp since it just lowers the "absorb" from a blocked attack.

@@dvr1337 Block value is the main stat that increases Shield Slam damage. The reason a cap was put in place is because Prot was 1 shotting Mages with Shield Slam and they cried. With that said you should blend Block value and Arm Pen, that is if you want to hit 15k+ Shield Slams. Which means you can use Block value on use trinkets to hit Block cap for damage and then use Arm pen gear. Also Block value really annoys rogues because of the Damage shield talent. Which means Rogues just kill themselves attacking you and can be half dead in their opener without you touching them.
