I finally hopped back into Duels and only survived the experience because of Quel'Delar and lots of holy spells.

I think Duels would feel so much better if every 2-3 games in a run you would visit Bob’s Tavern. It could create some wild possibilities which yes could be tilting, but as long as everyone has the ability to visit Bob and the power level were even across the board of what is offered it could be implemented well. I also feel like making more duel class heroes could be cool, like Demon Hunter and Warlock for an example or even duel classes you we haven’t seen before mix. Warlock with almost anything would be kinda cool since you know it’s not an option. They could make up new heroes specifically for this mode with a Warcraft vibe like they normally do for everything else that isn’t actually in Warcraft. Also potentially 5 different hero powers and possibly 10 signature treasures as long as they are all balanced properly. I also feel like the “expansion buckets” they patched in could be critiqued a bit, I get the og way was easier to abuse, but I feel like it could be handled slightly better than it is currently. If enough heroes are made and cemented into this mode then you could even do monihtazation for hero skins, I think making more duel class heroes would allow a great way to have better permit hero’s versus “wizard duels” that trailer was hype as hell, but I feel like the heroes from schoolamce could be retired, potentially even the league and replace them with fun new heroes that are duel classed, so many combos and just cement them in as permit options, would also make the picking of your hero out of six more interesting since you would know of all these other class combos. They could honestly even just add a monetization to treasures for them to have golden animations and could carry that over to arena events when they spice that up with wacky cards like they have, but since it could be a feel bad for a since of purchasing they could allow those cards to be used in friendly matches to really sell the idea. Ireally feel like having Bob implemented would have a huge impact as long as it’s handled well and even just in the sense of your last game being a tilting loss and Bob’s Tavern pops up it will be a feel good moment after just experience a tilting loss. Blizzard hire me lol, got great ideas even some new and interesting rather easily implemented ideas for cards and mode. 😎 13:50

​@@NevirSurrenderAfter 3 wins, decks become big enough, and potentially fast enough and it just falls off a cliff. If you que into it early, unlucky I guess, but if you have 4 or 5 wins in your belt and see it again, its almost a free win.

Hi Regis, Your Earthen duels inspired me to try one too. I managed to have a 12win run even. I only lost to a plague DK in the first game and to a Silver Hand Recruit Turalyon with both Men at Arms and Greedy Gains along with lots of multi recruit summon cards around game 10. To keep my pools more useful, I limited my build to 2 sets plus Legacy. I have found that duels just love throwing a double listing or random 3rd set on choices, so only using 2 sets is the best way to get the set you want to choose from every time (not always what you want in the set, but the set is listed at least). I don't have the newest Titans Legendaries, so my build might not be the best, but when earthens hit early you can win often. This is my build: Hero Power From Golden Light Signature Treasure Su Leadfoot TITANS Judge Unworthy Keeper's Strength Stoneheart King Disciple of Amitus Tyr's Tears FESTIVAL Cold Feet Dance Floor Kangor, Dancing King Lead Dancer Annoy-o-Troupe LEGACY Redemption Equality Consecration Hammer of Wrath Truesilver Champion Just like you experienced, having Su Leadfoot in your rez pool for From Golden Light can carry a duel when summoned early. I also had some decent treasures with Mysterious Tome and Mummy Magic. I agree with you that Mysterious Tome can be underrated because while I did have some runs where it gave useless or awkward secrets, I also had some god-tier combos too and sometimes just the unknown can cause the opponent to second guess also. Mummy Magic on Stoneheart King is crazy too. I don't know if you will be able to do another stream of Earthen Duels, but if you do a run for yourself and limit your selection to 2 sets plus Legacy like I did, I think you have a good chance for a long run too and I would love to watch another Earthen run by you on youtube (main channel or VOD).

The pain of bomb warrior is unreal. I wonder if he was running Odyn as well because then the inevitability of bombs also faces the inevitability of Odyn slamming face and shuffling bombs.

Odyn is banned at deck building (don't know how long that has been the case) so they would have to get it in a Titans bucket.

@35:04 This is one of the biggest mistakes I make as a duels player (and Slay the Spire player!) that I think other people do too -- they try to design an "optimal" deck instead of just "what you need to stay alive".

I thought the birth of my kids would kill my gaming habits. It just changed them. I used to play console mostly before kids. After kids I ended up moving onto mobile games and I’ve been playing them ever since. At least while they’re babies you do get some time. isn't gift of luminance pretty good with the stone bois because the scaling is a secondary effect? so it's only -1/-1 for the one and they both get divine shield for 3 mana. Not necessarily saying that entire expansion would be worth it but that seems pretty good. That is if it works that way

I’ve tried that, but it doesn’t work. The 1/1 unfortunately overwrites the scaling. I don’t know if it contributes to the future scaling though..

The only deck I’ve seen in duels that consistently manages to get the buckets they want is Plague DK. They run an almost entirely Titans starting deck and then always seem to draft only the plague cards. I feel like the deck is mostly rubbish. But turns out if you’re offered enough of your one synergy it can win 😓😊

I wish the HS devs would go though duels and change up the hero powers of the basic characters. Warlock still has the soul shard imp hero power even though no new soul shard cards have been added. There are some hero powers that are never used and some that are overpowered.

I think Blizzard has something agaist good buckets for Titans. Don't start Duels especting good cards on Titans Buckets, it's just a bunch of garbage all the time in my experience.
