Guys, I'm 60. Started my hard rock journey with Van Halen and AC/DC. BAND-MAID is hands down the best rock and roll that I have heard in decades. On my Spotify, there are 125 songs by BAND-MAID that have the "like" check next to them. NO other band has ever put out that many songs that I really like and not only like but listen to daily and because of the range of styles that they play with, never get tired of.

That's a great story. Yeah, I started at 14 years old. I went to the Cherokee bike rally and seen Fog Hat, Steppenwolf and Blackfoot. I've seen NIN, Metallica, HANK JR., Marshall Tucker and many more, but the best band I've ever seen live is Tool, Maynard just turned 60 as well touring with 3 Active bands. All having songs charting ATM. And a fun fact is the last concert Eddie Van Halen ever went to with one of his children was TOOL OK, lol enough about that, yeah, BAND MAID & THE WARNING are the best bands I've heard by far in a long time. And they both seemed to be bringing rock and roll back to what it was. So. with my band TOOL being the last and only band since IRON MAIDEN to chart # 1 in the world for Rock and roll. I will gladly love to see the passing of the torch down to these two bands.

Another new band alert. BAND MAID has been the best find for me in years and I haven't listened to much more since discovering them. But on the weekend I found a band called "The Sixsters". No comparison to BAND MAID as they are in a league of their own. However, The Sixsters are a band everyone needs to hear (in my opinion). A five piece all female group from Ukraine - I read they were in Germany now because of the war in Ukraine Try "Feels" - "Hold" - "Fever" - "City" ... and there's more. WELL worth a listen. Darren from Aust.

Bassgasm! I love it! How many freakin' bass/guitar "conversation/duels" have you ever seen in rock?! And they do it so well!!!!! The more Band-Maid gets views and reactions from guys like you the bigger they are going to be. I'm glad you mentioned The Warning and your happiness that there are so many young women finding old-time rock and roll, then falling in love with it and performing it. All of us old geezers like who usually at the rail for Band-Maid concerts hope to see a younger audience at the shows (females and males). The J-Rock bands (and The Warning) are keeping rock and roll alive.

Beautifully said, I am gonna pin this comment. There have been so many good comments, but I really like this one. To answer your question, with the theatrics on stage and speed and precise way they're playing, I have never seen a bass/guitar duel like that. I am, however, spoiled to the base in the guitar, sharing the front lines as far as playing the lead and playing off of the drums. Tool my band incorporates this many, many people have trouble knowing if Adam Jones, the guitarist or Justin Chancellor, the bassist, who is playing the lead riff.

Warning is doing a show with Band Maid in Japan, I don't think they're doing a full tour unfortunately. They should, their fan bases have a ton of cross over. (and the bands are big fans of one another) When you were talking about throwing away your guitar, I recall another reactor (Mr. RockandRoll) saying something like "No matter how good you are at a thing, there is an adorable 5 foot tall asian lady that will absolutely destroy you at it"

Any Maids serving (as they call their songs) ROCKS!!! The ladies are in their early 30s now and have been rocking for almost 10 years. Try Thrill the track that blew them up on the world stage (the label was about let them go when this happened in 2015), Freedom (Akane drum solo), Onset, From now on, Hate? Are all great tracks and they have an extensive back catalogue of over 100 tracks, Bass solos from Misa and guitar solos from Kanami are brilliant. Welcome Masters and Princesses to the 5 Band-Maid members: SAIKI Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. The youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock front women... or front men! MIKU Kobato (Me-Ku), "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals and lyricist. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR Spokes Pigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. She couldn’t play when she formed the band and was tutored by Kanami. KANAMI Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want is more! AKANE Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa), "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA! Hope this helps you, enjoy Bros

I'd suggest "Puzzle" official live (you'll here Angus in this one) then jump straight to the other end of the spectrum with a rock ballad - "Daydreaming" official MV that when the guitar solo hits, you'll think "Where the f^$% did that come from".
