supe's didn't think straight about using the solar flare anyway supe's did some crazy stuff with 1 punch 2 he can destroy planets even punch holes in freaking reality he did some crazy things he bench pressed 2x the weight of the world 4 freaking 5 days and barely dropped a sweat so not taking sides i love them both but saitama will be obliterated but in my opinion it's best to not have these 2 fight it'll turn this whole universe and other universes into a hell hole don't go starting a flame war doh so ......yeah

Superman just didn't deserve to last as long as he did and frankly the first two punches between them would have been the end of superman if not for the adopted bias. "What's half of infinity? you guys know with so many re-iterations of superman different groups argue he's the strongest but which one since one superman does this and another does that and this one did that. you can't just take all these different iterations and say it's the same guy since each one has done something to stand out.superman is a god most say you all do realize in the world of fiction God is at the bottom of the totem pole since everything and everyone kills or tries to kill god. Man, aliens, half gods, demons, half demons, robots, cyborgs, androids, wizards, witches, guns made to kill god, swords made to kill god, magic designed to kill god, animals with the power to kill god, hell even god tries god. hence why despite different iterations' accomplishments superman is at the bottom of a totem pole where that class gets killed.superman can be beaten and killed o unless you want him to fight chuck Norris or segata sanshiro or both at the same time. till Saitama's story comes to end he may or may not end becoming superman's Japanese equivalent or at least a couple versions of him there to where even then for those of you who read one punch man would recall Saitama is looking for the one opponent who can actually beat him or in my interpretation someone who can give him a good fight since his end so easily without him even trying.that said try to consider all this without being a dick about it cause there's enough people acting like dicks on the internet as it is to where this will likely turn into that blog of goku v superman thing that got shut down. just enjoy the fact that at the very least Saitama is capable of fighting a normal superman when he's holding back since a lot of the iterations show he tends to hold back till he feels it necessary to go all out.

I actually enjoyed this battle alot despite me wanting Superman to win. It was really good animation and fight. My only problem is why did Superman used the Solar Flare too early. I mean he didn't need to do that and it didn't seem like he was backed into a corner. But hey nice fight and glad you reminded all the people that there is no research done first hand. Because this is purely entertainment. If people wanted research it won't be on OMM.

considering that the Super Flare, I believe, works based on jetitsoning all the solar energy in Superman's Body, it's possible that taking all those punches was rapidly draining it, since Solar Energy affects his offensive and defensive powers. It might have been a lot weaker than it should have been if it was used later. That's just my guess, I don't know, I don't read comics much.

+Lord Typh Superman said he would only use that if necessary and only when there is no other option. From the animation, it didn't seem like he was overwhelmed and both him and Saitama were equal before Superman decided to use all his power for some reason. In fact, since this is Superman he has other powers other than the new Solar Flare move so I was half expecting he would use his other powers to his advantage instead of just punching. But hey these are just small nitpicks and this is purely entertainment and they specifically said they don't research the facts. In my honest opinion I'd say Superman wins by looking at the feats but hey Saitama is no pushover either. I am just glad it didn't end with the other getting killed because that would get out of hand.

I'm sure if his show wasn't titled one minute melee and had deathbattle back him up then I'm sure we would've had a near 20 minute battle like with goku and superman. in the end superman may win but at the same time we all have to ask which superman is a fair match up since the accomplishments of one particular version doesn't apply to another. there's a bit to consider to that since there's only one Saitama who despite started off as a joke on himself with his overwhelming power is making a big name in the hero community and the fact he's even considered to challenge superman shows how Saitama is getting a lot of attention now. if we want a full on deathbattle then everyone has to agree on which superman would be a fair match up to test Saitama whether it's main timeline, new 52, red sun superman, etc etc etc. cause probably why it hasn't been done yet is cause of all the comments you see on here where people argue like that. so if everyone can agree on one particular superman to fight with Saitama and let the research on both sides be looked up then I think we can let things play out. also regardless if Saitama loses it doesn't change the fact he'd be happy to finally have found someone who actually defeated him and was able to go all out for once but for all we know they could end up in a draw similar to Chuck Norris and Segata Sanshiro. now those 2 against Superman and Saitama would really be something.

Freddy Gutierrez That is an interesting point to bring up about having to find a Superman that is fair. If you were to go by the canon or what's most relevant in comics at this point it would be post crisis (New 52 died of too much kryptonite radiation so there's that and Post Crisis Superman is now relevant in a New 52 universe in the DC Rebirth) and even then Post Crisis has a lot of feats to back up why he would win in a fight with Saitama who's exposure hasn't reached levels of insanity like comics. I know Saitama has incredible power but I have seen way crazier thinks in comics. However arguing for a fair matchup is difficult. Because 1) when people suggest Saitama vs Superman most conclude that Saitama wins because he is one punch man and that doesn't work because that isn't research and going off by the cover of the book no matter which SUpperman it is and 2) other versions of Superman don't have as many feats while still pwoerful don't have as much exposure or relevance that would be good in a fight and putting Pre Crisis or anything crazier than before Post Crisis would make this worse. Also yes I agree that Saitama would be happy that he loses because it means that he isn't the strongest as he thought he was and actually found a challenge which is something that supports his character and would benefit him because his life is so boring to the point he demands someone who is stronger to push his limits and even dreams about it. As for Segata Sanshiro and Chuck Norris vs Saitama and Superman that would be extreme levels of insanity. I know that this is One Minute Melle and not Death Battle I just wish that people didn't take OMM seriously as they seem to use to only have the benefit of seeing their character win when there was no research put in the first place just for entertainment. As much as I want this battle to happen just to see both of my favorite characters fight it out only for Saitama to lost to be happy that he once have a challenge or in a perfect world they could be friends even though they don't have the same ideologies they are both something they can agree with one for justice and truth despite having all the power (Superman) and the other finding fun in what may seem to be boring to have all power in the first place (Satiama), I can't imagine the amount of people being unhappy by any result and just outright hating everything which kinda puts a bad taste in my mouth when I can't enjoy a fictional fight without seeing those type of people.

Timothy Deligero People don't suggest he'd win because 'he's One Punch Man'. People suggest that he'd win because with everything he's done, you need to remember that for mo most of it, he's barely putting in any effort. And even in matches that had him get serious, the most damage he's taken is clothing damage. I'm not saying Superman COULDN'T win, it's just that we need to take Saitama's feats into context.
