Okay so this is something I love During the post fight scene, black widow mentions how superman killed goku twice. This is a reference to death battle. As there were two fights between superman and goku. Nice to include a nod to the first real "who would win series".

Saitama is more entertaining than Superman because he's actually able to pop giant monsters into pieces as well as destroy the land. Superman on the other hand in shows he's portrayed in doesn't do any of that, he usually just punches very weakly because he doesn't want to instantly kill his opponent as well as destroy the land. So Saitama wins the popularity contest, Superman wins in pure strength alone.

The entire point of Saitama's character is that he's so ridiculously strong, that nothing can beat him. Let me reiterate that. NOTHING. CAN BEAT HIM. It's supposed to be a jab at the ridiculously powerful characters that are in anime and other mediums. Hell, I don't even watch the show. I'm not a OPM fanboy. I'm just stating facts. He's pretty much the sum of every ridiculously powerful character, in that he doesn't fight seriously because he enjoys fighting but is too strong to find opponents that are strong enough to fight him when he's even putting in a fraction of effort. Does this make him a good character? No. Is he a good character? Hell no. It's just that people find it fun to see a guy go around and completely obliterate his foes with a singular punch.

read the last chapter of the One Punch-Man Manga, only the shock of Saitama's serious punch, with his power copied by Garou, which was redirected elsewhere by Blast and his companions, simply caused the eradication of thousands if not millions or billions of stars. They in a single instant fell on the moon of Jupiter without suffering anything. With one hand, Saitama split that same moon in a single movement. He even did a Flash, and created a bunch of afterimages of himself with his speed. The worst he did, was simply kicking a portal, he managed to interact with something abstract, which technically was supposed to be impossible.

What I hate when it comes to anime battle arguments involving ol' Caped Baldy here is that anime fans demand feats. Gotta have the FEATS! All them animu fight guys got that FEAT fetish! How do you explain to them the entire friggin point of OPM is that Saitama will always have insanely more power than necessary to do anything. His greatest feat in the entire show, which I tend to claim is the Boros punch but could be the table flip or walking out of the gravity well on boro's ship, was done with him still being bored, disinterested, and massively holding back. His power cannot be explained with feats because if he ever struggled with a feat it would ruin the entire point of the show. The only true way to quantify his power is by going with the canon explanation that he somehow removed his physical limiter. AKA he literally cannot have any limits, physically at least. He will never be unable to outspeed something. Never be unable to destroy something with a single strong enough punch, though he often chooses not to use a strong enough one. And never be able to take damage. Any one of those would be considered some sort of physical limit which he simply can't have.

If anyone wants to even try to compare Saitama to something, it'd have to be god-level feats... at bare minimum. Saitama has no limits and neither do gods (supposedly), so that's a good place to start. And considering Goku nor Superman are gods, they won't qualify as a good starting point.

Because: 1. Saitama's concept is not "being stronger than anyone he faces", he is just so strong that no one in his universe can face him. He literally just over-trained for his world. Saying he "always win" because weaker opponents lose so easily is like saying that i can defeat anyone because i can literally walk through a arm of ants. 2. If you dislike comparing saitama with feats, don't put him against people outside his universe, simple. If you are gonna compare him to superman, you can't use a law of the writers from OPM as a argument, you either use feats or saitama can't do anything. 3. Superman is supposed to win at the end because he is the ultimate hero, goku is supposed to always break his limits and surpass anyone. And yet no one says they can defeat anyone, because their concepts are not seem as actual power in-verse, they are just rules of the writers. In those battles, there is no studio writting them, it is neutral, the only way to make a scenario of a battle is scanning them and using their feats. Saitama without feats is just a guy in a costume, because every punch he throws, weak or strong, is a feat, even his training is a feat.

It's hilarious how few people seem to get the point of Saitama's character. You guys know how we know that he'd beat Superman or Goku? Because being a grossly overpowered, indestructible, COMPLETELY UNBEATABLE protagonist is the ENTIRE. POINT. OF HIS CHARACTER. There will never be a single enemy introduced to Saitama who he won't be able to beat. You know why his fight with Boros, the guy with implied planet-buster-level of power, lasted so long? It's not because Saitama was challenged. It's because he sympathized with Boros, felt bad for him, and deliberately allowed the fight to drag on. And in the end, all Saitama had to do to beat Boros was put a slight modicum of effort into one of his punches. His overpoweredness is played completely straight in his series. He's a guy who's sad because he's too powerful, and he knows it, and he knows he'll never be really challenged at anything ever again (except for video games and killing mosquitos, apparently). At the same time, another main point of his character is that he's surrounded by superpowered heroes and villains of all stripes and colors, a lot of whom aren't even human, with all variety of powers and extremely centric and enthusiastic backstories... and he's nothing but a regular human, who's only power is being strong. And yet he's so absurdly, unfathomably strong that literally everything and everyone around him is an ant in comparison. He's almost constantly being underestimated, and constantly shutting up his opponents with a single punch. The point? He can't be beaten. It's not plot armor that's protecting him. It's not reasonable skills or feats. His superpower is literally being unbeatable. Because that's how his character was made. We've yet to see even a bare glimpse of just what Saitama would be capable of if he went all the fuck out on something or someone. Not because he doesn't want to, but because everything he fights keeps dying in one halfhearted punch. A character in the show describes him as " a god in the body of a man". For all we know, that might actually be the case. He might ACTUALLY be strong enough to fight God, singular. That's how OP he is. And that's the whole point.
