Holy Stone HS720E Arm Replacement COMPLETE PROCESS AND TEST

I bought this HS720E in broken condition. It came to me with two broken arms. I glued the arms back into place to test it and, after it proved it could still fly, I purchased new arms to put it back to rights.
I apologize for the volume from about the 5 minute to 11 minute mark...when I went back to try and correct it there was too much static and noise.

This was awesome. I followed it step by step and the result was great. The soldering of the wire to wire did add some space issues with the shrink tube, but it all fit when I was done. THANK YOU for an Indepth video with no wasted time. Very much appreciated!

bought one a week ago,,,120 bucks,,,,like it alot,,,but it is erratic whenever gps is on,,soi leave it off,,and dont use my phone either,,,waitin on a replacement rear left arm,,,

There's a white piece with a metal locking mechanism that holds the arm in place...is that what you're talking about? I don't know what they're called, they're not a common part sold as a spare. You might need to reach out directly to holy stone for a replacement.

There should be plenty of spare parts out there for this drone both of my HS720E veered left and crashed.

Hey! do you know the reason for crashes 720E? they all fall leaving in a free and uncontrollable flight.

they are too quick for maneuvering.. need to practice first in open field.. low speed is too slow sport mood is too fast they have fall sensors but no side or upside sensor or blade cover for crashes.. i believe mostly of peeps breaking them when flying first. definetly not easy to control

@@nesargurkan It seems to me the reason is in the GPS positioning system, I turn off the GPS and the drone has never fallen, when GPS is turned on, it sometimes abruptly goes to the side in hovering, once, when performing a "return home", it suddenly went into a turn and fell, naturally at that moment it didn’t control it at all, and it’s still strange that it ceases to obey even the motor blocking button.

rear right arm broke off when it crashed ,just lost all power and fell for no reason . Where can l get a new replacement arm

Hi, can you replace just the motor? I tried to disassemble the motor but it's not coming apart even with the screws out.

You can't. The bottom fascia is glued place and removing it deforms the arm. You could possibly cut it, but it's not likely to be successful. Replacing the whole arm is easier.

I'm a complete newbie at soldering is it possible to use ultra low resistance butt connectors cause I’m quite skilled with those

I wouldn't because they'll add more weight and bulk....there's not a lot of room in there and getting it to close up with just shrink wrap was pretty tough.

I’m sure the ones I plan on using will work they are very very tiny butt connectors meant for wires .2 to .5 mm and weigh next to nothing

Use tiniest needle. It wasn't difficult for me.

I couldn't either, but the standard 720 arms work the same. Those are what I used.

The 2 screws on the arm (above the white plastic) can't be removed on my drone, they just screw forever (dont know the correct word for it) So I can't replace my arm fcuking bs. Why are even the cables for the arms are soldered, a simple connector would be much better
