The practices and traditions associated with Holy Week have been transmitted to younger generations for centuries through active participation in the event and its preparation. A representation of Guatemala’s cultural diversity and a symbol of hope and union, the event promotes tolerance, inclusion and respect thanks to the participation of people from different social groups.
