So my experience with this hero is that they are very mana hungry but can scale well. They like on hit effects but also have decently long cooldowns so I would make the following 3 suggestions for building him. Battlefury is nice but because of its high early cost Malestrom or Midas is better for farming early game. Especially Midas so you save the mana from your abilities for other stuff. You can fix his mana with Linkens or with Octarine for lower cooldowns, mageslayer is also insane since you can apply it to many enemies using your abilities. Deso is good as a main damage item, but if you want to last longer in fights I suggest getting some lifesteal. You don't need attack speed as much just more attack damage so try to go for hit hard hit once type of gameplay and if you are worried about strong right clicks just play out their range with your spells. You don't need crit, his sai stance comes with it. More survivability or sustain really helps a lot since the longer he can be in fight the more damage he does overall as opposed to building glass cannon and dying immediately.

@@JohnSmith-ri2ed Diffusal is fine but in my experience its better on people with high attack speed. Mageslayer is enough but you can go diffusal into some enemies who are reliant on Mana like Medusa, and if you have an AM on your team, giving him opportunities to mana void can be a good idea.

@@aloyissus Sceptre is kinda eh since your abilities share cooldowns however Shard is decent since you get lots of movement speed in Sai form and Katana gets a strong stun that you can use to hold an enemy in place for your Q.

yes and no, he has really good sustained damage and is a very quick farmer too. i think he probably can be played and built in many different ways to suit the game

​@@xtranormalCARTOONS88 i think he could be played mid with aghs, gives you access to alot more abilties, even both your ults which is huge. early phylactery might be nice. he kinda doesn't need much cc to stick on targets with his sai 1, i think echosaber is pretty nice for quicker passive stacking, deso probably cause blight stone is alot of damage early for how cheap it is, even disperser with orb of venom early you could run down alot of heroes, he works well with like every carry item basically so its hard to say which is best this early i think

He can probably be built a bunch of different ways, disperser for early fighting, bf for farming, echo saber would even be decent and give you tankiness, orchid great as well to dash on people with his sai q and get a mark on them. very versatile kit

Quelling, branch, stick, circlet, tangos -> treads, cornecopia, (wand/drops if still laning), battlefury, nul talisman, yasha, (situational into manta or s n y, bkb before those if you need to teamfight vs magic asap) the rest is usual lategame carry items aka butterfly/satanic /skadi (satanic + paladins sword = win) Obviously the assassin mode for pickoffs/solo and the katana mode for teamfights but dont forget the parry and the rush is the better Q so use that before swapping to the sword for the passive DPS

I played him a while ago and I used Khanda, Octarine Core, Bloodstone, Heart of Tarrasque, Shiva's Guard, and Disperser. My core items for him would be Khanda, Octarine Core, and Bloodstone while the remaining three would be tailored-fit to counter enemies

@@julremnacua3282 Hard to say, he seems to be a very flexible hero. I believe manta is going to be core, because the illusions apply the katana stack and he really wants a dispell for potential ulti saves. (on demand lifesteal/invis). I predict tanky items is going to be really strong on the hero as well, because of his inbuilt lifesteal and massive over time steroid (katana). So... Abyssal blade, Sange/kaya (depends if spell amp works on his katana passive), bkb, khanda, satanic. Maybe octarine core lategame, kinda uncertain, will have to try it out. Bloodstone however, does absolutely nothing for him. He has relatively low and very unreliable spell damage, so he can barely use the spell lifesteal component. He also has low impact AoE tools, so that part is lackluster as well.

Satanic should be way better for steal and for hp, maybe you can add Skadi too as he would love to men fight some carries, Cuiras for Armor, Khanda is fine for dmg but Daedalus would be better as he have many spells to crit which are not target spells, Echo saber might be good too, Diff too, Butterfly seems good as he benefits a lot from att speed, some farming item like bf or mjornir would be good too but BF gives mana regen... In general stick to the Agi Carry builds

I build Gleipner Disperser mkb it works fine... since his first skill from 2nd form procs its good to start Difusal burns mana fast like AM at early stage of the game

I read most of the comments and i can tell you that in only one case you are right he is mix from heroes but that its not troll not invoker and not earth... me like prime immortal player and guy who play 15yrs wc3 and dota 2 i can say that Kez is some kind of Jugernaut Void Spirit and Pangolier. Fix me if i am wrong but same skills but very similar have the critical like jg sth like void spirit ulty his 1st and dispel with 2 or 3 / silence like pango :) and he is broken if you have fast hands but also he is more squishi than pango and jg ... :)
