Thank you for this. It was the result of seeing ice shows in London in the very early 50's and seeing Sonja on early tv that I started skating aged 8 in 1958. I gave up 5 years ago aged 65... I miss it very much...

Really amazing to see these pictures!!!!! Does anyone know, which Olympics she attended as a guest? Maybe 1964 or 1960?

The only real thing that bothers me concerning Sonja Henie was her alleged association with Hitler and the Nazi Party. I kind of have mixed feelings about her because of this.

That's unfortunate, but we can keep in mind that many were indoctrinated. Sad, but true.

She hated Mabel Fairbanks. I would say she was jealous of her but why? Even if they skated in a competition Sonja would win. No way would they put a black skater first.
