HOMAGE [Quackity/Wilbur Dream SMP Animation]

I hope you don't mind me using these animations to just figure out how stuff works KEK im still very new to this kind of thing. With each of them I try to develop a new skill in a sense? Or at the very least have a different technical objective. For this one I wanted to focus on making the animation slightly more smooth and the transitions a bit more ambitious if that's the right word. For that reason it's on the shorter side; also because there isn't a longer clip of this song version sob.
I actually first heard this song in a Jojo edit on instagram. Now I use it for minecraft look at that character development.

I definitely think this represents all the stuff Quackity went through, joining the server, The Election Arc, Butcher Army, and finally him going to the prison. Love how the hearts in the background allude to poker cards from Las Nevadas. Love Wilbur standing at the podium and suddenly vanishing. Beautiful work, you for sure put a lot of work into this! Definitely my favorite Quackity animator :]

My favorite thing has to be how you made his scar into something that corrupts him like it doesn't look like a normal scar its more black and eating away at him. Still don't know what the rose means but its a nice touch with it just tangling around him. Also at 0:12 where his eye is red and then shifts to blue after the sunset is interesting cause of how everything he's tried to achieve kind of failed idk i just saw it as a sort of remorse over lost hope kinda thing if that makes sense

I think what not a lot people realize is that the song has some significance too “someone wrote this song before” could be Wilbur who had his own unfinished symphony and telling Quackity that the only way to achieve power is through violent means but unfortunately Wilbur died before he could finish his symphony and now Quackity is adding onto Wilburs song with his own melody and gaining his own power with similar ideals to Wilbur but with his own twist

I can’t tell if that was Wilbur quackity switched to for a quick second but I think it was and that was an amazing touch. When quackity said, “I’m sorry bad.” And blew up the egg, felt all too familiar. And it plays off of the idea of Wilbur instilling a lot of Quackity’s current beliefs on power really well. Also your animation as always was STUNNING! Amazing job :3

Damn, your animation is legitimately Art. Like. All drawings are art but yours are Art with a capital A. They're vibrant and artistic, different and almost abstract, smooth and imaginative. Despite your unique style and design choices, you can recognize the scenes they are portraying: Quackity choosing a darker path because he feels like he needs to, although pretending to be cold drives him and the people he cares about apart, making a social person like him deeply unhappy... He tried to blow up the Egg despite the fact that it might hurt the ones under its control, created Las Nevadas to ruthlessly scam people and gain economic power over the server... And it all ties back to that fateful day where Wilbur told him that he wasn't cut out for power, not when he believed in the good in the world. But turning away from that positivity, these light-hearted social bonds for the sake of gaining control, of being taken seriously? It plunges him into an abyss of loneliness, a reality where he's left behind by everybody he ever cared about... Heck, even if you didn't know c!Quackity's character arc on the Dream SMP, you'd get a sense of the story just by looking at this animation - there's just a certain way it makes you feel. It's sadness and sorrow, dull but true, like an ache that you can't quite reach and that you have accepted to be a part of your existence because you feel like you can't change, or maybe, shouldn't change, anything about it... Truly, again, a work of Art, with a capital A.

The transitions and camera work is amazing. I love how it transitions to different stages of his character in the lore and his face turning darker and darker showing his character is changing. After that, thorns appear and are dark, kinda showing his character has changed. (like him turning more into Schlatt and dream in the SMP.) Not to mention the use of the card decks counting the lyrics of the song for Las Nevadas- The song and animation is like quackity making his own ‘symphony’ but unlike Wilbur it’ll be complete, with him ready to take whatever means possible to do that. TL;DR: I love little Easter eggs or hints that animators use and this animation used it great.

You’ve used thorns/roses in your animatic before this one and I think it represents Quackity quite well, I kinda see it as an iceberg type of deal where at the surface he seems/seemed more “pleasant” but he’s always had these thorns. But in this animatic there aren’t any roses. He’s finally showing everyone his true colours, he’s finally snapped. At the beginning he’s slowly covering his face as his character develops because he’s been cutting himself off from everybody at first he was a Vice President, everyone knew about him and talked to him but now the only constant people in his life really are Sam and Dream and that’s all for “business” At 0:06 Quackity turns into Wilbur still surrounded by thorns, he said he saw Wilbur as his old friend even though he helped to take over his country. In a way I believe Quackity relates to Wilbur or sympathises to him. He thinks what he’s doing is for the greater good but instead he’s causing a tidal effect of pain and suffering through out the smp. (Dreams possible escape) After this hearts are shown in the pattern of playing cards, and Quackity reaches up and grabs one of the heart. This could be linked to him eating Schlatts heart or it could be him getting the idea of his casino. Then there’s a detailed close up of his face. There’s more dark on his face. It’s almost like corruption.

This is so amazing I’m actually sobbing- I can tell you put so much effort into these and it definitely shows x My theory on the newest lore stream: Karl hasn’t completely lost his memory, but he’s getting way worse at remembering things. George was telling the truth about Karl being the one who was supposed to tell Big Q about Kiyoko Kingdom, but he forgot about it and assumed that he already did. I don’t believe that the egg is gone, but I think it was definitely damaged by the explosions. If it was damaged, that means it’s probably weaker and maybe one of the badlands will snap out of it and join the Syndicate so help save the others. I believe that Big Q8s casino is to gamble money, but also cannon lives. He lost a bet and as a result has ‘the three horsemen of the apocalypse’ coming after him to try and claim it, one of which being Quackity himself. That# all I really have to say on the current plot.
