The local cops are everywhere to find Kevin at night, there's no where to run and hide, unless a homeless Pigeon Lady appeared, come with her if he wanna live, before the cops never found.

That's where they were going originally. They were obviously of somewhere luxury, but due to Kevin unintentionally stealing Peter's credit cards and cash, I'm guessing Frank paid for the family to stay in that cheap motel when he said "didn't look this bad on our honeymoon". This proves that Frank is a total cheapskate and is jealous of his brother's success. Everywhere the McCallisters plan to go, Kevin always has his wishes come true the night before they leave and the time of his life - he made his family disappear off to Paris in the first film and he had his own vacation in New York in the sequel. But these wishes give Kevin time to reflect on his behaviour and realise that he loves his family, even if they're unfair towards him.

Why wasn’t the family at all worried about where Kevin was? How could they all sit in a motel room being relaxed and watching the television together, when they knew that Kevin was missing?

Because as Kevin had Peter's credit card to check into the Plaza Hotel, the police had the ability to track him down which takes time, so the family had to distract themselves by watching TV. Also, I think they looked remorseful (apart from Frank) for the way they treated him, but in the end, Kevin gave them a vacation of their dreams to show that even though they blamed him for Buzz's behaviour, Kevin still loves his family.
