The telescope I use here is a Skywatcher 50ED refractor fitted with the field flattener and a ZWO 485 camera.
A quick overview here.
• Skywatcher 50ED with f...
The field flattener ensures equal focus across the entire frame. Without it some of the edge stars would be blurred and elongated.

The vastness of the universe is so hard to wrap your mind around. I suppose a flerf would say that is CGI? It is almost certain that they just do not want to know the truth. With all the space related content online and on television, you would think they would realize how impossible and pointless it would be for it to be fake. For some of them for sure it's money. But there are many that are willfully blind, and I don't get it.

Made me think of the first time I saw Jupiter’s moons through a pair of cheap binoculars. Looked like little diamonds, to me. Then there was finding the Andromeda galaxy for the first time with the naked eye under dark skies. Flerfs are such a sorry lot and miss so much. They keep talking about the stars and planets being luminaries. I was at a star party of the local astronomy club. It’s great to walk around looking at things through different telescopes. Saw M61 through an 18” scope and it was magnificent. But, for flerf killing, one of the best views, was through a pair of giant Fujinon 25x150 ED binoculars. The owner had them pointed at one of the globular clusters in Scorpius. The binoculars gave it a 3D view. It definitely didn’t look flat like supposed luminaries would look plastered to a dome..would love a pair of those binoculars, but at a bit over $6,000 US, I’ll have to win the lottery first.😂

Wow! It's absolutely mind blowing, the number of stars per galaxy and the number of galaxies out there. I did look at your 38 second one after reading your comment about it, that was verging on overexposed looking even in the areas where it looks like there's nothing there. I did do a night shot on film many years ago with 100 ASA film and I think I did a 2 minute exposure on a pretty nearly empty patch of the night sky using a 70 to 200 zoom and a 2 times teleconverter and it was amazing even with that to see how much more was there that I couldn't see normally. Another time I stopped high in the mountains going up through Coonabarabran and I pulled over, kept my eyes shut for about half an hour trying to catch a few winks and then got out without turning any lights on. Even without any magnification, high up there and in such clean air it blew my mind how much more I could see both in the Milky way and everywhere basically, though since we're part way into the Milky Way the stars I was seeing in the rest of the sky were probably in our galaxy too.

As a side note, I also went north through Coonabarabran when that Hale Bop Comet was about and even with headlights on I could see it clear as anything right in front of me, that was pretty awesome, especially after Haley's Comet passed and I couldn't even see the thing.

As I was suspecting, when you passed from the 10 seconds mark to the 20 seconds mark, you seem to be hitting an exposure limit and your background noise increases. Le me explain myself. There are a few limitations on how deep a photographic exposure can go in an astrophoto, namely: - Camera noise. The camera sensor inducts some random noise to the captured images, Every decent astro camera generates some thermal noise, and it is characterized and published by the manufacturer. This depends on the inherent characteristics of the sensor and the ambient temperature. - Atmospheric haze. Since the air surrounding the Earth is also not fully stable, it also disperses some residual light that can have many sources, such residual haze is the main limiting visibility factor even in the darkest sky spots on Earth. - Light pollution. The dispersion of artificial light in built areas also makes the sky brighter than it naturally can be, depending on the location, it can be a nuisance to astrophotography. To check the amount of light pollution there are published websites covering it. A direct measurement can be done with specialized apparatus, or with the "Loss of the night" cellphone app or obtained through a light pollution atlas. Happy stargazing and clear skies.

Jupiter is farther out in the supposed solar system and Venus is closer to the Sun so therefore they can't be next to each other. 2. Why does Venus look so much larger than Jupiter? Venus is supposed to be the same size of the Earth and Jupiter supposed to be huge, but Venus is CLEARLY larger than Jupiter in your video!!!" Looking at the trillions of stars visible from Earth, I have no doubt some have planets that harbour life. Commercial radio broadcasts began in 1920... that means these signals have only traveled 102 light yrs from earth... and would be very weak at best. That space ship ride at the end is totally fake! If you turn your monitor sideways, squint, and say "you're gonna need R for that" a hundred times you can totally see the strings! Pantomime!

@@mrxmry3264 Emma is more advanced in Russian than English. Her Mum only speaks to her in Russian. She does a great job of translating back and forth already. I can say almost anything to her in English and she can switch it to Russian and vice versa.

@@Wolfie6020 There's a reason why it's called mother tongue :D My son is also bilingual, at home we only speak Italian (proper Italian, not dialect...) but we live in Germany. We have friends whose kids speak already 3 languages, parents are one Italian and one Dutch and live in Germany. It will never cease to amaze me, how quickly and easily small children pick up languages, I wish I had this advantage.
