Irene shat all over him in life, and couldn't give 2 shits, blowing his legacy on a useless reconciliation dinner for Alf and Michael. It was funny while it lasted when Selina was accused of the murder. Dodge got no thanks despite the hate those townsmen had for "Mud" • Shane's death was the end of the good episodes forever • Dodge's disappearance over the cliff: an MH370- or Harold Holt-type mystery • Michael's death? well I hated his final year so not sad to see him go. Still, it was the destruction of Home And Away, like with Shane's death • Tom's death: glad this meant the end of fake "Pippa" • Flynn's death: I couldn't give 2 💩💩s

I was in my late teens during these episodes and I had a massive crush on Rebekah Elmaloglou. I looked up her videos to see if time has made think any differently and I haven't changed my view at all. She's lovely. Probably a bit insensitive to say it at such a bad time for her character but what the heck. She should be over this by now.

I never understood why Michael didn't tell Sophie about David's death. Even though I think Sophie's feelings for David could be best described as teenage infatuation, denying her the chance to go to his funeral was wrong. I'm pretty sure she referenced it some years later when she came back and reunited with Blake.

They were wrong to take so long to tell her. After the funeral? They had no right, that wasn't protecting her, she'd have found out. And weird sophie and Karen never talked but surely off screen as sophie got with Blake her brother. Was it the same year Meg died in Blake's arms

Sadly not. Karen returned from the detention centre in 1993, just a few days after Sophie left the Bay. Many fans are curious about why the writers did this. It's unclear whether the producers simply couldn't make the actor's schedules work to have an onscreen reunion, or whether they deliberately waited until after Sophie left so as to avoid doing that story.
