Oh my god I haven't seen this since it aired. I remember ITV HEAVILY edited this finale, they mixed scenes around, edited pretty much all scare content, the chase through the woods and freeze framed at everyone singing silent night not Chloe about to smash Brad, which also as a UK viewer you never saw any traps or Brad trapped in one. I remember because I watched it months earlier on RTE. Home and Away was edited so much on ITV that as a viewer some storylines wouldn't even have made any sense. Remember Laura and the infamous train scene. Totally cut from ITV.

Yep you're right. ITV's editing and butchering of H&A was nothing short of disgraceful and completely unjustified when you compare it to what was shown on CITV and other surrounding shows. I will never understand some of their nonsensical cuts and decisions. It seems like someone with an agenda against the show just cut everything and anything they possibly could to make it look as bad as possible. A lot of people lamented the move to Channel 5 but I celebrated it because they treated the show with respect and cut nothing. The only drawback was the year's gap but again that was ITV's doing.

We got it all on RTE in Ireland and it was scary as hell. I was only 11 years old at the time.

Did not like that they broke Selina & Jesse up. They belonged together. Having Steven and Selina have an affair was stupid. Having Chole killed off was sad.

Jesse and Selina already split up before Steven came back. Steven and Selina's previous relationship was before Jesse was in the show :) I agree though, Jesse and Selina were a really enjoyable couple but I also enjoyed where the characters went when they separated. Poor Chloe :(

@@SummerBayJournal i thought they broke up when stephen arrived as they were still together when stephen came back and then she broke up with him to be with Stephen and which caused jesse to go off the rails and think also didnt he lose rachel to kylie?my memories maybe wrong though I loved jesse abd selina togethet always felt they were a way better couple than Stephen and her and seemed like they only broke Selina and Jesse up as Tempany was leaving . Am I right in saying though that in the uk that they edited out a lot of selina and stephens relationship out the first time round?

I heard of the storyline but too young to of seen it when was on tv (i was 6). What was the fall out from this. He end up in jail? Chloe it any trouble for leaving him in the trap? Did we ever seen him again? P.S Marilyn poem was little dark but fitting

He went to jail and continued to harass her from prison for a little while until she met Lachie and drew a line under it all then it was never mentioned again. She didn't get into any trouble.

I remember this storyline so well but I can't remember his accomplise or get back at Chloe person. A few months after this Chloe walked into Irene's house and there were traps laid out all over the living room floor. Again edited by ITV but saw it on RTE. Who was that?

Was delighted when he got stuck in trap. Love how sadistic Chloe looked at him. She should have bashed his head in with the tyre iron

I don't think anyone could have blamed her if she had! Unfortunately with him being stuck in the trap and therefore posing no immediate threat, the prosecution would have had a field day on poor Chloe and she'd probably have served jail time. He got locked up and lost his leg so definitely paid a satisfying price for his demented crimes.

@@driller007 He wasn't in it again but yes that happened with the traps all over the floor. A scary episode. He had one of his psycho friends do it to scare her. But then we don't hear much about him after that.
