During the 30th Anniversary, specials H&A saw Alf Stewart confessed to his daughter Roo, that her dead mother Martha, was actually not dead at all, and in the episodes that followed he explained to her that a few years after Martha had gone missing in the mid-'80s (prior to the pilot episode of H&A) she had sent a letter to say she was still alive. In this particular episode, Alf had given Roo this letter which stated that "she couldn’t be a wife and mother anymore". Afterward, seen in this clip Roo broke down in tears to Marilyn about the fact her mother didn’t want her.
