Here's to Cathy. Having watched someone go through this day to day over several years, this performance of hers was astounding, totally and utterly authentic and believable. Acting this must have taken everything out of her. May you rest in peace Cathy, you've helped so many people by playing this role, including me. ❤

I had such a bad crush on Cathy Godbold/Meg when this aired in 1992. She was so beautiful. I adored her. I was also really saddened by her passing. It really was a cruel turn of life imitating art. She's with God now, eternally young and beautiful as we all remember her ❤

Wow, how sad. Blake couldn't look at Meg and she knew because the doctor did tests too but she didn't want to hear it. When he ran out, that confirmed it. Her saying she wanted to finish the book showed she knew it was soon. When she died, he said he knew it'd happen but didn't accept it. But the last time she was at the beach she said she'd miss it. She knew

I remember reading at the time this aired, that for at least some of this time, Les didn't have to act crying - his tears were real. That's how moving and convincing this storyline was 😢
