Hi Stuart, I have a general question about the BMS cellmodule V4.5. Which Connectors did you use as an output for the optocouplers, that should transmit the data to the main esp controller? Thank you in advance!

Fantastic, as always. I have been using this functionality for some time now. I added a few lines of code to see the value of the cells in HA. This new functionality is really very useful to monitor the status of the battery remotely. A possible extra functionality would be to integrate two switches into HA to control the disabling of battery charging and discharging. Thank you for your time and dedication.

I really like your BIYBMS solution. I have a question whether it is possible to change the BIYBMS software to support 160S or larger batteries. I am currently using a H Y D 2 0 K T L -3 P H inverter, it requires a minimum voltage of 400V. I have a 160S battery and a Chinese BMS, I would like to change it to yours because it has a lot of cool functions. Will it be possible ?

Technically yes it can support high voltage battery but I generally tell people to avoid them as they get dangerous after 50VDC.

Great news, how can I change it so that the bms supports 10 x 16S for a total of 160S. I know it's dangerous. I have the appropriate knowledge and qualifications to work with high voltage@@StuartPittaway

@@piotrs3388 as it currently stands, the BMS supports 128 cells maximum (in any configuration) so it would need a code change to increase this

Yes, via MQTT - although you can use both if you wish

Hello Stuart, i updated my diybms controller and had some problems. The mqtt messages are now sent one cell once at a time every 5 seconds (if i remember well). As i have a 84 cell system with home assistant monitoring the cell values, i have issues due to the slow informatio. Is it possible to speed up the rate of the mqtt comunication? Thanks for your great work!

How readily can individual call voltages be included? I've had a duff cell & it would be good to be able to look at large datasets & generate an alert

A duff cell would have a lower cell voltage - which would be sent to the HA interface
