Hi @MisPerry - I would just like to say thank you! I followed your instructions to create a GAS Monitor for my stove. Your explanations, once seen past your ADHD, was clear and easy to follow :) - Thank you again. All the way from Cape Town, South Africa!

Great timing, I just started building keg scales after watching your first video, a couple of days ago. Thanks for sharing!

You bet. Good luck with it. I use the quite a lot and they do work good.

Thanks for putting this up! I'm going to try making this w/o the LEDs for my 2 tap kegerator. I want to make a custom top for it where it'll have an e-ink screen to display current kegs/keg levels.

Thanks. I look into my scale soon.

Thank you for this series of posts. My plan for this is to monitor the CO2 tank attached to my Aarke carbonator. If I know that I'm getting low, I'm willing to loose the last pound or so if I'm going to be near the exchange facility, rather than have to make a separate trip.

Ok, two questions come to mind. First, I know that load cells are notoriously temperature sensitive, so how do you deal with the temperature swings (inside keg vs outside keg)? Second load cell aging & electronics drift. Have you had any of this?

Awesome videos! Sorry for the long post, didn't see an email in your description... So I have a homebrewing KZbin channel where I walked through how to create something similar to this about a year ago. I see you are using LED for notification which is pretty interesting. You seem to be very knowledgeable around this stuff after checking out your channel and I was wondering if I could ask you two questions about problems I ran into as this was my first time doing anything like this. 1) I read that putting anything but the load cells in the fridge could throw off readings so I have been running obnoxiously long cables outside my fridge which creates a mess. Have you seen a problem putting everything in the fridge? I may print a stand as that is much better then what I have been doing. 2) I tried to setup pour notifications as well, pretty much checks every 30 seconds for a weight and if it drops by more then x amount it records and pushes a pour notification... Thing is is that I'm thinking the load cells are not accurate enough for this functionality since I got a TON of false positive notifications. When I pour it records great but ill also just get random texts during the day that someone is pouring when nothing is happening lol. If you care to check my build out do you have any ideas around having this functionality work?

Surely the readings are thrown out by the weight of connectors and hoses attached to the kegs and applying pressure to them?

This is awesome thanks for the videos. Can I skip the LED part? just leave it out of the ESPhome code and not install them?

Great video as always, Thanks. Is possible to add a Sim800L to the Wemos D1. Inorder to run it without WiFi?
