This song divides the octave into 27 even notes instead of 12. Microtonal is harder to do on guitars than keyboards. Keyboards and computers can just retune easily, it's math. But you need a different guitar for each microtonal tuning, with different frets. Look closely at his frets. There are so many and they're so close! Excellent

You can also use a fretless guitar or one with movable frets (like a lute has)

I think there have been guitars made with detachable fretboards so it's easier to pinpoint where all the notes sit when going from one tuning to another. My idea is for bew guitars to come with a 12-TET fretboard already attached, but you can loosen 3 quick-release latches and slide the 12-TET fretboard out then slide in a fretless board or one for a different tuning quickly.

Keyboards can technically be retuned, but it's not very good for playing as the layout becomes completely off
