Another great video!! The DH you could probably get away with the "magnets trick " to avoid having to remove pressure! Maybe magnets coated with silicone could be added to your stock 😅 to be sold with hop socks

Great video as always. I remember brewing the IHL - Intensely Hopped Lager kit from you guys years ago. Might have to pick another one of those up!

Great video, I'll have to add it to my brew list. Never heard about DH with low pressure, I'll have to try this as never knew it muted the hops.

Hi guys. Another great useful video, thanks. I tried doing a lager under pressure but got a lot of diacetyl? taste (buttery, popcorn). Fermented at 15psi at 20 degreed and was completed in around 4-7 days (w34/70). After 3 weeks in the keg, it's now drinkable. Second attempt, I left it under pressure for 2 weeks but also used your ALDC and now no sign of any off flavors. Should pressure help reduce these off flavours?
@themaltmiller8438 Жыл бұрын
Pressure will limit the off flavours from the yeast such as Sulphur but Diacetyl is sometimes unavoidable. Time however is always the best healer with that or, as you have discovered, ALDC!!! 🤘

Hi. Great video. Just wanna clarify something. I’ve been pressure fermenting since 2020 and was under the impression that DH can be done under higher than 1 psi because less co2 escapes along with the hop aroma compounds. Am I mistaken? Cheers!
@themaltmiller8438 Жыл бұрын
I think there will be differing answers on this topic, we want to limit the restriction of hop aroma as much as possible so went with a really low PSI after dry hopping but there might well be alternative methods. 🍻

Could you do a test with a hazy ipa using ale yeast?

For this video how did you then cool this to serving temp using the Apollo? Would the 30l uni tank fit in a standard fridge? Or can it be hooked up to a glycol chiller for example? Thanks
@themaltmiller8438 Жыл бұрын
We put it into our cold room but it will fit in some fridges, yes.

@@themaltmiller8438 👍👍 another related question do you plan to stock the Apollo titan + cooling/heating elements at some stage? Cheers

These are not brought in directly to the UK by us, so we don't have them at present. We have some alternative options, the BrewBuilt FV's are amazing ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/moqVmHSfbrx1jJI ) and offer much more to the user and then the BrewTools MiniUni ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/raqwhKyImchjeq8).

Any chance you could make 18 litre kits for the king keg junior?
@themaltmiller8438 Жыл бұрын
We would love to be able to cater for many different batch sizes but it takes a lot of time to build the standard sizes as products. We are making more now at 23L and 5L, I'll keep the recommendation in mind for further developments on that area.

Another great video guys, are these pressure fermenters any good for extract brewing too?
@themaltmiller8438 Жыл бұрын
Funny you should ask that, we will be doing a video on this new bundle in the coming weeks www.themaltmiller.co.uk/product/chubby-pressure-fermenter-beer-kit-bundle/ Perfect solution for the kit brewer… the only thing you can’t do is add boiling water to the Chubby so we’ve included a plastic bucket to mix the kit up into and then drain it into the Chubby

Ideal, thanks for that, can’t wait to see it in action 👍

Hey, love the video. Very good info. What is that basket there and is this a 35l pot? Seems like the basket fits perfectly. Can you put the lod on the pot alright with the basket in it? Thanks :)

90 min boil might have broken down the pilsner malt proteins that might be causing the haze. Or could have used all extra pale malt.

This beer ended up pin bright, it was just time thats all. Sometimes turning things around for content means we are right on the edge of things. It's a great recipe, i'd strongly recommend it!

Marvelous stuff again. I've recently purchssed a pressure fermenter and I'm keen to explore my uncharted brewing territories so this series is pure gold. Quick question - Does beer that has already absorbed CO2 take longer to clear than 'flat' beer. I.e. if I use geletin in a corni, will I wait longer for it to fully clear? Cheers.
