Paper shredder micro cross cut preferably with the shortest cut for the right price. And run it through a few times and a water sluice with adequate water flow to allow the smaller pieces escape from the flow of water overflowing the copper trap as copper is heavier than the pvc abs poly plastics to overflow the copper trap to a screen below and you can have cleaner copper

A local yard I sell almost all my car scrap to. My advice is look for a smaller yard that will value you and take the time to see what you are all about. Going to a large yard with a quantity of (possibly contaminated copper) as a new customer is just asking for suspicion and rejection imo.
