@@Oneupthesleevecustoms were there a bunch of "hidden fees" once you decided to buy it? online it looks like they advertise them way cheaper than the price you state it took to buy yours. but then again I've never legitimately imported anything so have no clue how that works. I've stuffed things in containers the army paid to bring back but never commercial trade.

Great video. I have a granulator as well but I'm having a hard time with the separation. My granules are dirty with plastic. I've adjuster the shaker table speed and that helps but its still got a lot of plastic. I keep the main screen clean as well. Good idea on the dust collector. I wear a respirator. I thought pre chopping the wire to two inch pieces would help ,it didn't. Different brand from yours. I also paid a.lot to get it to the states.

Great video! I’m thinking about buying one. I have a couple of questions. We get in loads of Ethernet cable, that is harder to get clean copper from? And what would you say your yield is? Like if you processed 100 pounds of wire, how many pounds of pure copper would that yield? Thank you
@IkeBarnett-tp7hf10 ай бұрын
Does the blower blow in one place or under the whole screen? Is it a double layer screen? I noticed copper out of one end coating out of another. Do you have pictures from the other side opened up. Great video I am just trying to grasp how this works. Dry separation has me stumped.
@Oneupthesleevecustoms10 ай бұрын
Whole screen helps it spread out and lifts the light materials off the screen to be sucked up/ fall out the back. Very efficient

Hi, how often do you have to change or sharpen the blades in the granulator? What other kind of maintenance do you have to do? How much did you pay for the setup? Thanks
@Oneupthesleevecustoms11 ай бұрын
Cost around 10k aud landed gst tax import ect. I have not had to sharpen change or modify blades ect at all. 2x greese fitting on main shaft and blow it out often with a air gun. Super reliable and simple

Are you break even factoring in time, cost of wire, and the percentage gained from not selling as is at #1 and # 2 wire prices?
@Oneupthesleevecustoms11 ай бұрын
Oh yeah I only buy less than half the cable electrician mates give me heaps, I sell for more than bright shiney no1 copper prices so even if your stripping good stuff I get 20% more in granules as it's going to the manufacturer. Not to more middle men

I can do 25 to 40 kgs a hour. A little less in fine data cables. I recommend adding a dust extraction system like my one I can make more videos if you have more questions

It really depends on where I get it and who is selling it. Some of it is totally free just pick it up, other good stuff I pay up to 3.40 a kg
