Nice comment from the gentleman who said to Steve Austin early in the video, "(You are 1 of the best workers in the world man)". That was a nice gesture, and not only that, that would have been happy for Steve to hear especially since he was fairly new to the company at this point in time, and he was a "heel" a bad guy, so yeah. If you didn't watch WCW between late 1990 through to the middle of 1995, or ECW for those few months in late 1995, alot of people probably wouldn't have even known who Steve Austin was at that time. So to be recognised by a fan as a great worker back in March 1996 from a WWF fan, I'm sure Steve would have greatly appreciated it. Take note aswell especially as the internet was in its early stages back then, in March 1996. Lastly Great Footage, and a big thankyou for this rare gem. Cheers from Tom. Thankyou and Peace.

@@alexpapaj9753 It is embarrassing than an executive, non-athlete, who is semi healthy is bigger than the full time professional athletes on the roster. And Shane never looked "big" to me. That means the Cruiserweights of the AE/RA who had to be 230 and under (Hbk, EG, Benoit, Kidman, Hardys, Hurricane) who had to GRIND for years before they were pushed for any major title...nowadays are instant main eventers. It started in 2006. Once they made 175 Mysterio World Heavyweight champion, it was the beginning of the end as far as realism from a physical standpoint went.

Almost everything was hotter in the 90s. Pro wrestling, music, video games, cartoons, trading cards, comic books. The more you look back on it & compare that entertainment to this decade and the 2000s, the better it seems to be. Internet wasn't really that big though until the late 90s, and social media was limited to e-mails & basic chat rooms. Movies also sucked a lot in the 90s. Maybe movies and internet are the only things better in the today's era, honestly. I guess video games to a certain extent, but definitely not for certain genres like fighting games and platformers. Many of them still play like 90s games but with better graphics in high definition.

To think the people Who were lucky enough to get Stone Cold Steve Austin‘s autograph as the ringmaster didn’t realize and only a couple months later he would become one of the most popular wrestlers of all time!

Why did the wrestlers from the 90s seem alot tougher and manlier?
@universalmanchild9 жыл бұрын
1ColdFuture Because they were.
@marcleon15135 жыл бұрын
Because they were. Two, kayfabe so we didn't have guys like CM Punk exposing wrestlers as he got his ass handed to him and steroids/ cocaine was a great help as well.

Bc they didn't just sit around and play video games all day long or be on social media all day. Most of these guys were tough as fuck. Only a few on todays roster are there nlw

Damn this is Stone Cold in the BEGINNING!! Even before the Austin 3:16 speech.... Who would of known.
@JJA19879 жыл бұрын
He probably still would've got over even without the catchphrase back then if things went differently. Steve was to good not to
@nidal14755 жыл бұрын
the story is simple & steve austin explained it so many times. the stone cold gimmick was born in february 1996 when steve austin was watching a documentary about the ice man & then he gives them the idea & then they gave him nonsensical names like chilly mcfreeze, ice dagger, fang mcfrost & otto von ruthless. jeanie clark made him a hot tea & told him to drink his tea before it gets stone cold & that's how the stone cold gimmick was born
