First I’ve heard of XPL/direct…….interesting…….is this similar to Mobiflight?

Hi there, no the two options are totally different. Mobiflight uses third party firmware and a user interface for the configuration of switches etc., similar to SimVim. XPLPRO or XPLDIRECT on the other hand are still plugins, but you have to write your own Arduino code to configure switches and the like. Hope this helps?

No need to apologise my friend, XPLDirect is the original version of the plug-in, whereas XPLPro is the latest iteration with much more functionality. If you are interested in pursuing such, then XPLPro is now the way to go. Cheers, Paul

Hi there, no I’m afraid not, the XLPDirect plug-in was specifically written for X-Plane only. However I have posted other videos in the past, where MSFS2020 can be manipulated by different types of Arduino sketch code. 😎
