Wonderful video! One Question: Could you give some more details on the error code that you put in de Arduino code in the middle of the void setup? What is the use of this code and how does it work? Then one comment: the message in Xplane that tells you to line up the directional gyro is very relevant. It is not limited to the cessna172, but it is a message you can get in every cockpit with analog instruments. It refers to the gyroscope in the heading indicator. This gyroscope does not know where the magnetic north is. So you have to read the value from the magnetic compass and turn the knob on the heading indicator to this heading. And then you should do this every 10-15 minutes, because the gyroscope will wander because of different causes. Again thank you. I'm very glad with the explanation of the plugin XPLDirect. I'm trying to build a button box with Mobiflight, but Mobiflight has a problem with momentary switches. With XPLDirect there is no problem with the momentary switches.

Thank you my friend, appreciated :-) Unfortunately I'm not sure what the the error blink code is for or what it does, I have just accepted from Michael at Curiosity Workshop that it forms a technical bit of code to make sure the plugin functions properly! Thanks for your explanation about the compass, I've only ever noticed it in the XP11 & XP12 Cessna Skyhawk, but I guess that it could also happen in other aircraft type? I'm now in the middle of producing more videos, one of which will be about XPLDirect's successor, namely XPLPro, which I'll hopefully be able to post soon. Kind regards Paul :-)
