Hi!! Just some really helpful advice that can save a life!! I learned by working at the ER to NOT USE THOSE METAL BRUSHESFR FOR YOUR GRILL the little bristles get loose and they can end up in your food, leading them to your airway!!! Or any organ… Had a patient who we could not find what was wrong until someone saw the little loose metal from the brush on a CT so tiny. Now ever since I've been telling everyone to use plastic ones... It has happened multiple times you can even google it!

Toni, why don’t you buy a Generac generator? It comes on automatically when the power goes out and turns off when power comes back on. It runs on propane. I live in Maine so I can relate. I finally had a Generac installed. The best decision I ever made.

Happened to me a few years back for 5 days during a bad ice storm, trees down everywhere. I packed up, with my 2 cats, and went to a hotel! Met some guys who worked for the power company down at breakfast, whined a little about the 5 days and when I went home to check on the house, they were there!! I’m like were you staying at the hotel? It was them! They got my address from the front desk…. And guess where they were from? Canada!! 😃

Are your living room shelves the same color as your wood floor or are they darker? I’m trying to decide what to do with mine. And also any pros and cons to having black faucets and a black island as well? I’m overwhelmed with choices and don’t want to mess this build up haha

My shelves are definitely darker than my floors! The black faucets are good, but oily fingerprints will leave some marks. My island is also a dark brown :) just for some contrast!
