Hey girl, you can't go wrong with wool or jute! You'll never regret a natural fiber. If your home is minimal, scandi or traditional I would choose a fun pattern for a point of interest. If your home is eclectic or boho I would do a neutral or solid rug like jute or sisal just to tie everything together and so it doesn't compete! Also budget for a large rug like at least 8×10 for more to give a lux feel. The brand Safavieh makes good affordable rugs but if you have a big budget I would visit your local antique shop or order vintage from etsy! Best of luck for your search for an amazing rug

Heads up though, jute is not the softest or most comfortable texture on your feet. It's also a pain to clean if you ever spill anything on it or if you have pets (it will permanently discolor and damage the fibers if it gets wet with anything, even water) and not easy to vacuum either. You truly can't go wrong with wool though.
@lorrilewis2178

Wool rugs clean themselves to some extent. The lanolin repels soil and sometimes spills can be vacuumed up once they're dry.

@@twix2615yes I totally agree with your take on jute and sisal! I just replaced my sisal rug with a wool option because my kids got playdoh on it and I just didn't want to try to dig it out of the weave. I was so over that rug! It was impossible to clean but looked amazingggggg. If you are in a more tidy living environment I think sisal or jute would be lovely but if you have kids or pets or are a messy person then pass and choose wool😂 also the sisal was very hard and I had to lay a quilt out for the children to do floor activities. I'm so glad that you mentioned this 😂 ty

It’s really crazy, also to keep towels for 8 years should not be considered a long time. I guess Americans really consume in a different way (coming from a European). No attack to Paige, but a bit of an attack to US consumerism.

I wonder if the absorbency issue would be helped by stripping the towels. Like, I have this Mighty Bubbles cleaner that I used to use to remove detergent residue from cloth diapers periodically. Otherwise they lose their absorbency over time. And maybe the $50 towels just have some sort of residue on them from how they were treated in the manufacturing process.

This is the kind of content that gives me the biggest design high. I love finding all the accessories that make our lives better both practically and aesthetically. You could do this forever and I would be in the happiest of places. Ty Edited to say: not even necessarily to buy, just to file away for gifts of for when I need to replace things or as I slowly upgrade the pragmatic things in my life to be better quality, unique, visually pleasing …. I like to have a massive catalog of things in my head at all times, basically. You never know when someone in your life needs a thing and it makes me happy to be able to help them find something fabulous.

Girl Math : If you shower every other day for 8 years (182.50 x 8 years = 1460 showers) and the towel costs $50, ($50 divided by 1460 = .03, then that towel only cost you .03 cents per shower so the towel is basically free. Did I do that right?

Love this Paige. Please do a fashion video!! I can't find a good leather jacket anywhere that isn't "biker" style.
