I love the previous owners marble top table that you acquired and the new light-tone wood chairs you purchased to pair with it. The natural light poring in from the windows in the kitchen is so beautiful. I'll admit to ooohing over the pottery bits you found and all the interesting things that you filmed at your local antique fair and housewares shops. It's all so exciting. You must be having a blast.

Tetbury's antiques shops are amazing! Lorfords has so many lovely pieces (we were there yesterday), the dining tables were stunning, but huge and a tad pricey! Love the table you have, it really suits the space x

Love the Saarinen dining table, such a design classic - extremely elegant & goes with pretty much anything. Looking forward to seeing the new armchairs. You are so lucky to have access to so many antique outlets & furniture outlets in general, we are in Southern Spain where the supposed antique shops are basically full of tatty rubbish! x

Enjoyed this blog, as usual. Thrilled you were able to buy that beautiful tulip table from the original owners. I've always loved the style of those. Not only are they beautiful but so comfortable to sit at with plenty of room for everyone's legs. Would be curious what chairs the previous owners had. I've only ever seen that style of table paired with plastic and or plexiglass backed chairs. At any rate, the chairs you chose are comfortable and welcoming. Yes, I am sure it was expensive; but so is a work of art. It is timeless and beautiful, especially when viewed at a distance. And love your choice of coffee table as well. I would rethink getting two coffee tables because that would mean changing one circle to two circles, and so less impact for mirroring the tulip table in your kitchen area. Seeing them both from the living room was REALLY beautiful. You are doing the right thing being so careful with your choices and taking it slow.
